"Chris honey! Come and get dinner!" my mom called. I said I didnt want dinner and hopped out of the bed. My dad's giving me drama about Lola, and its pissing me off to the lowset degree. Why can't he let me be happy?

My phone rang and I hopped back in the bed. "Hey stranger." Lola said over the phone

"Just the girl I wanted to hear." I said relieved

"What's wrong?"

"Can I come live with you?"

"What happened now?"

"Baby can I just come live with you? Please?"

"Foreal?"

"Foreal babe."

"They treat you that bad?"

"Yes. Now please? I can just crash on your futon."

"I have to ask my mom baby."

"Well then go ask her now. Tell her my situation."

(Minutes later)

"Well....what did she say?"

"She said she doesnt care, but you can't sleep in my bed, or any unappropriate behavior."

"Fine by me. Ill be there in 30."

"Alright. Ill be waiting."

I got off the phone and started packing up the most that I could. I grabbed my bag and ran downstairs. With no luck at all, I ran into my dad.

"Where ya goin son?" he asked sadly

"I...I'm goin to stay with Alcyone for awhile. Its not workin out here dad. Me and you both know it." I said.

"Goin to stay with that ignorant black girl. She's nothing but a little whore." he said with a smirk on his face. Just then my fist went across his face. "Dont call her a whore! If anything you're one! Go keep on screwing June down at your office." I said.

My mother walked in to see what was going on. "What's going on?" she asked. "Mom I love you, but I cant stay here. And by the way, your husband is a lying cheat." I said walking out the door.

Tears were furiously running down my eyes as I walked to Lola's house. My family is worth shit, and my life is falling apart. Lola and I are the same. We just can't take it anymore. I walk up to the doorbell and her mom answers it.

"Oh sweetie come in. You can stay as long as you want." she said smiling. "Thanks Ms.Hunter." I said wiping my tears. "Alcyone's upstairs on the phone." she said rubbing my back. I said thanks again and ran upstairs.

She was on the phone and when she saw me she quickly hung up. "Yea girl Ill call you back." she said hanging up. "Baby what happened?" she asked closing the door and sitting me down.

"I cant do this anymore baby. My dad's a lying cheat, my brother is a juvenille delinquent, and my mother is a lost soul." I said covering my face. She pulled me close and rubbed my back. "I wanna fuckin kill myself!" I said hitting my head

"Baby dont say that! Calm down....relax yourself. Dont get worked up OK? Im here, and I love you so much." she said getting my dangling hair from my face. "You wanna talk about it?" she asked quietly. I shook my head no and she got up to make up her futon so I could sleep.

"Come here." she said quietly. I walked to her and sat on her bed. She held me so lovingly and so close.

"Marry me beautiful." I said

"When?" she asked

"I dont care. Right now." I said

"How? Im confused." she said puzzled.

"I know. But just know...you're the only girl that I love and want to be with all the time. I think about you from the moment I wake up from the time I go to bed. I want you to be my wife." I said smiling

"Well look at you lookin into the future." she said smiling.

"Yea....but Im serious babe. Say yes." I said looking into her eyes. She smilied and carressed my cheek.

"How could I say no? Im madly in love with you Christopher Vasquez." she said smiling. "Gosh I love it when you say my whole name." I said in dreamland.

She giggled. "Well, I forgot to say your middle name."

"I dont care. Anything is fine with me wifey." I said smiling. She kissed me and put some covers over me. "I made you happy. Dont cry kay? Im here." she said wiping my tears. I smiled and my eyes started to close.

"I love you." I whispered

"I love you more." she said laying there watching me. My angel.....my love....my everything. Always there when I need her. I'll die for her. I'd do anything for her. She just makes me feel like...
