We get off the bus "So what do you think?" Max asks el When she doesn't respond I look at her "hey what's wrong?" I ask putting a arm around her "Too many people. Against the rules" Oh god. I look at max and look at her thoughts. But before I have time to even know what she's about to say she spills out "seriously? We walk into the mall making us all take everything in "So what should we do first?" Max asks while elevens still looking around "you've never been shopping before, have you?" El shakes her head "Well, than I guess we're just gonna have to try everything" "I'll catch up to you guys later okay? I'm gonna go hang out at scoops ahoy for a little. Walkie talkie me when you're ready to leave" I hold up my walkie talkie and max holds up hers. "On our Chanel okay?" "Of course babe" "See you later hun" I kiss her lips quickly earning us bad looks but I shrug it off "Bye el" I wave to her before jogging towards scoops ahoy
When I get to the ice-cream shop I say hi to robin and head towards the back where I know steve is "It sounded familiar" Steve states putting food in his mouth "What?" Dustin asks "The music. The music right there at the end" he states "Why are you listening to the music, Steve? Listen to the Russian! We're translating Russian!" "I'm trying to listen to the Russian but there's music" Steve exclaims "Russian?" I ask "Shit" dustin says looking at me "Let me hear" "No y/n. It's okay" "All right, babysitting time is over. You need to get in there" I watch robin walk from one end of the room to another "hey, my board! that was important Date, shitbirds" "I guarantee you, what we're doing is way more important than your data" "Yeah?" "Yeah" Dustin nods with Steve "Yeah? And how do you know these Russians are up to no good anyways?" "How does she know about the Russians and I don't?!" I questions "I don't know" Steve says a mouth still full of banana "You told her about-" Dustin starts "It wasn't me" Steve finishes "Hello, I can hear you. Actually, I can hear everything. You are both extremely loud. You think you have evil Russians plotting again out country on tape and your trying to translate" "Wait Excuse me?!" I step forward and stand next to robin "but haven't figured out a single word because you didn't Russians use an entirely different alphabet than we do. Sound about right?" I reach for the tape but Steve snatches it away "Woah! What do you think you're doing?" "I wanna hear it" "Why?" Steve and Dustin both ask "Cause maybe we can help" I look at robin "I'm fluent in four languages, you know" robin says making me point to her "Four languages" I repeat to the boys "Russian?" Dustin asks "Ou-yay are-yay Umb-day" "Oh-ho-ho!" Steve exclaims "Holy shit!" I know for a fact that's not Russian cause I can read robins thoughts. I wipe away the blood coming from my noise and look at the boys "That was pig Latin, dingus" she says making me laugh loudly "Idiot" Steve slaps Dustin with his banana peal "But I can speak Spanish and French and Italian and I've been in band for 12 years. My ears are little geniuses, trust me" "Uh..." "Come on. It's your turn to sling ice cream, my turn to translate. I don't even want credit. I'm just boreddd",she reaches out for the tape Steve sighs and gives her the tape while he takes the ice cream scoop
Robin walks around the room while Dustin plays the tape over and over "Wait, That last part, just one more time" robin says pointing at Dustin "Okay" He rewinds it and plays it again "Okay, That word. Um...it's !pronounced... 'Dly-nna-ya" robin says and Dustin repeats "Which is spelled...d...d,d,d" robin sighs and takes a seat "The- the chair. The chair-looking thingy" "Yeah okay" "We've got our first sentence" I inform Steve "Oh seriously?" "Yeah. The week is long" I say in my best Russian accent "Well, that's thrilling" "I know right. But progress I guess" I say with a sigh before continuing to talk to him "I have to go try and find my beautiful red headed girlfriend but I will see you all another day" I say while jumped out of the window and landing in front of steve. I look over the counter to see max. Shit, She heard that. She smirks at me while blushing before taking the ice cream steve is handing to her.
"You want some y/n?" Max asks me hiding out her strawberry ice cream. I take it and lick it a few times before handing it back to her "Thanks" I say before I hear mike "Oh, you've gotta he shitting me" max says annoyed making us all turn to the person she's looking at or more or more like people she's looking at "We Haven't got that much" we hear Lucas say "Okay, What is we split it?" Mike asks "Split it with what? Does that even make sense?" "What are they talking about y/n?" Max asks making me close my eyes and read their minds. My eyes snap open and I lean into Max's ear "Mike wanted to buy something for eleven but he didn't have enough money or something" Max walks forward making me and max follow
"Isn't this a nice surprise" max says making mike drop his bike "What are you doing here?" Mike points at eleven and than looks at me "You're meant to keep her safe! Not being her into the open! You're her sister! You're meant to protect her!" Mike yells at me making max step towards him "Don't you dare yell at her" she snarls "I'm shopping mike. It's not a big deal" Eleven tests out some new words "This is her new style. What do you think?" Max asks "What is wrong with you? You know she's not allowed to be here" Mike says to us "What's wrong with her?! What's wrong with you treating Eleven like some kind of lost puppy that needs to be kept in a cage. What is she mike? Your pet?" "Yeah am I your pet?" Eleven asks "What? No!" "Then why do you treat me like garbage?" "What?" "You said nana was sick" "She is. She is. She is sick" Mike gets lucas to join in "Yeah, sick- shes sick" "She's sick" "She's super sick. What's why we're here, actually" "Yeah, were shopping. Not for us, but her her, for nana" they lie "For nana" "Also we're here to get a gift for you. Just, we couldn't find anything that suited you and I only have, like, $3.50, so it's hard" "Super hard. It's- its expensive" "You lie" eleven steps towards mike "why do you lie?" The bus pulls up making us all look at it She steps toward him more making him look scared "I dump your ass" she says harshly before turning and walking away. We walk into the bus and I sit down in a free seat, max walks on and sits on my lap and eleven takes the chair next to me They high five while I just look at max with pure love. She's so cute. She's laughs and wipes some whipped cream onto my nose from the side of elevens ice cream cone. She then wipes it off along with the blood from my nose with a tissue making me smile widely and scrunch my nose up "Cutie" she says before kissing my forehead
