"Hiccup wake up." A voice said.
Hiccup's eyes were closed and all he saw was darkness. His eyelids felt like fifty-pound weights and it seemed like no matter how hard he tried to open them, they wouldn't listen.
"Hiccup?" The voice said again. Hiccup finally managed to open his eyes. They met with Elsa's blue eyes as she hung over him.
"Odin, I fell asleep on the beach didn't I?" He asked, rubbing his eyes. "Indeed." Elsa said, standing up. She reached out a hand and offered to help Hiccup up. He took her hand.
When he stood up, he wiped the sand from his clothes. "Thanks for waking me." He said, now looking at Elsa. He noticed that she was wearing different clothes.
Hiccup thought that this whole situation with the clothes was weird. He told himself that he was going to bring it up again one day, but not today.
Now she was wearing a light blue dress that was off the shoulder with translucent sleeves. The skirt only went down to her knees and her shoes were still flats.
"Have a nice nap?" She asked, brushing his shaggy brown hair with her fingers. "I wasn't aware I was going to take a nap." Hiccup mumbled, wiping the last patch of sand off his shoulders.
Elsa looked at him cautiously. "Are you feeing okay?" She asked, taking her hands out of his hair. "You're acting strange."
Hiccup nodded. "I'm fine." He said. He was about to walk away, but stopped when Elsa gently planted the back of her cold hand on his forehead.
"You're burning up!" She said. "We've got to get you back to the site, you're not well." "No no no, Elsa, I'm fine." Hiccup said, knowing damn well he wasn't. "It's just hot out here." He tried fanning himself with his hand to play it off cool.
"It's snowing." Elsa said, crossing her arms. Hiccup turned behind him and saw that the whole island, was in fact, covered with snow. He turned back to Elsa, who still had her arms crossed.
"It's cold?" He said, hugging himself. He was still trying to convince Elsa he was okay.
For some reason, he didn't trust her, even though she wasn't acting any different than she was before she vanished. At least, not any different now.
His mind was still stuck on the fact that this whole, finding her on accident thing didn't seem right when he had searched for her, purposely, years after her disappearance, only to find nothing.
"Stop trying to act tough, Mr. Haddock." Elsa said, grabbing his hand. "You're sick." Hiccup sighed and started walking back to the campsite with Elsa.
When they made it back to their camp, Elsa sat Hiccup down in front of the now put out fire. She told Hiccup to take off the shirt he was wearing and change into a thinner shirt.
When he did that, he sat back down and Elsa wrapped him in a blanket. "I know your very warm, but you might get a cold if you don't wear this blanket." She said, softly smiling at him.
Hiccup looked at her, expressionless. The look on his face made Elsa a little uncomfortable, causing her to stand up. "Do you need anything el-" She suddenly twitched her head and closed her eyes, causing her to stop talking mid sentence.
Hiccup became slightly confused at Elsa's sudden behavior. He didn't say anything, only because he didn't know what to say. All he could do, was watch her take deep breaths and watch her hands that were planted on the side of her thighs, shake.
When Elsa opened her eyes, Hiccup saw that her eyes were a light grey color. Why did this keep happening? Nobody's eye color changes like that, especially not at that fast rate.
