Amelia slowly opened her eyes when the sun laid upon them through her bedroom window. She sat up and stretched her arms.

She put on a change of clothes and walked towards the door.

When her hand wrapped around the handle, she stopped. She had just remembered what her father told her when she got home last night. Well, earlier this morning.

She debated climbing out the window again, but decided that that would just make matters even worse than they already were.

She took a deep breath and opened the door.

When Amelia made it down the stairs, she expected to see her dad sitting at his desk like he always was, but this time, she saw nothing.

"Dad?" She asked, looking around the room. She walked all over the house, but found nothing.

"Dad, I'm sorry about last night." She said, still looking for him. "I just didn't want to ask you because I thought you'd say no." With each word, her talking became slower.

She saw the note her father had left on the table. She picked up the piece of paper with a puzzled look, then she opened it.

When she finished reading the note, she folded it back up and placed it back on the table.

She screamed with joy.

"Yes!" She shouted. "Dad is gone, now I can do whatever I want!" She began dancing around the living room.

"I've got to tell Andy!" She said. She grabbed her coat and sprinted out the door.

On her way, she saw one of her dads friends. She was about to run the other direction to avoid him, but she was too late.

"Amelia, have you seen your father?" He asked. Amelia shook her head. "He left for a while." She answered.

"That's odd." His friend said. "He normally tells me when he leaves. Do you know why?"

"Nope. All I know is that he left early this morning. He didn't even tell me." Amelia replied. "Oh, before I forget, he told me to tell you that you're in charge while he's gone."

The man looked at her. "Did he?" He asked. "Do you know how long it'll be until he comes back?"

"Eret, I don't know." Amelia said, getting annoyed. "If I did, I would tell you, but I don't. If you don't mind, I'll get back to where I was going."

Eret nodded. "I'm sorry Miss, I am just a man of many questions." He said. "If you see him before I do, could you tell him to find me?"

Amelia nodded and continued to her boyfriend's house.

Meanwhile, miles away, Hiccup was still flying in the sky with Toothless.

"How are you doing bud?" Hiccup asked, patting his friends neck. Toothless turned his head and made a tired noise. "Alright alright, there's an island a few miles north from here, we'll stop there for the night."

Toothless and Hiccup flew until they saw the island.

"Look Toothless, there it is!" Hiccup said, pointing at a small island that was covered with trees and what seemed like snow. "Now you can land there in that clearing and stop complaining."

Toothless rolled his eyes and grumbled. "What?" Hiccup asked his dragon, putting his hands up in defense. "I'm only saying what's true."

Toothless landed in the clearing and Hiccup hopped off of his back.

"I'm getting too old for those long trips Toothless." He said, stretching his back. "I think we should ease it up a bit from now on."

Hiccup got a few materials from Toothless' saddle and began to set up camp. He had sort of mastered setting up a camp in a short amount of time, so it only took a few minutes.
