They say at the right moment you can capture everything that the eyes hold; their story. The eyes of the broken so often end up being a doorway of the future. That's because eyes are never quiet and at that moment, they were filled with incredible but heartbreaking stories with no endings. Axel tried to hide how scared he felt but his eyes were as loud as rolls of immense thunder.

The carriage became distorted from his tears. Inches away from his face, shaking his shoulders was Sage. Behind him, Thorne was standing over an unconscious Seven with the curtain rod in his hands his face as white as a sheet and Chane looking on the verge of breaking down.

Stopping, Sage opened his mouth in shock. A grin tugged at his lip but his face dropped again when he remembered that moment. "Axel?" Relief was still evident across Sage's face. "He's back, guys. Are you okay? What happened? Axel?"

The next few moments were filled with distorted confusion and a blur of questions and kids running at him. Axel didn't take any of it in. He didn't care anymore. His brain felt like it had given up like this was too much to handle and he was slowly being crushed from the inside out. It was like he was immune to his surroundings. So, he didn't react.

Objects became smears of water colour. His friends became faceless strangers. The rest of the boys who had enough of being lied to had begun piling in and surrounding him. Even they were splotches of black and white. The surrounding temperature vanished altogether. The restless sounds became a thick ringing in his ears.

All that mattered was Axel was terrified. Seven had just controlled his body. So scared.

Emotionally exhausted, Axel felt his body grow limp like wet laundry on a windless day. All his heat could do was plump blood and hope for this storm to blow over. He was standing on the brink of something he didn't understand. The weight of something unwanted pressed down on his shoulders so much so he struggled to take a single step. The darkness grew darker; the pain grew sharper.

All of it seemed to only grow in strength and Axel was starting to wonder whether things would ever get better. If he would ever feel safe. If it was mentally possible to recover even if this all stopped. He wanted to forget so badly it hurt. Feeling his throat close up, he sucked in a mouthful of and looked away. Ignoring the voices tinged with familiar, Axel glanced at Seven and there was nothing to hold onto. Fear came back and he didn't think it would ever leave.

And Axel did the only thing he could do. The only thing that his body was capable of doing. Cry.

All of his scars were open for the world to see. He began sobbing into someone's shoulder. Who he didn't know. All the faces lacked features. He didn't even know if he had spoken to the person but he didn't care. All of his walls that he had tried to keep as strong as Thorne's just collapsed like they had been bombed. A tiny lapse of him pulled away and he fell to the floor.
