Chapter 12

We starred into each other's eyes and then I cleared my throat and smiled. "Well I should probably get home now"

He sighed and stepped away "yeah but I'll still walk you all the way"

"Okay" I said and we walked in silence until we arrived at my house.

"So I'll see you at school Monday" He said as I approached my door.

"Yup Monday" I said smiling back to him.

He winked at me and walked away.

"Daniel!" I yelled to him.

"What?" He asked turning around.

"Uh thank you" I said quieter.

"W-whats that?" He said with a smirk.

"You heard me!" I said rolling my eyes.

"Not a problem princess" He said continuing down the street.

My belly got butterflies after he said that and for some reason I was starting to like it.

I went back to my room and looked down he forgot his sweater.

I drove into the schools parking lot and found my spot taken. What the shit!? Then I saw who got out of the car. Christina.... My ex best friend.

Flashback
"Hey I gotta go to my locker you coming?" I asked.
"Duh of course!" Christina said. As we approached my locker Daniel and his friends we're huddled right by it.
"Uh excuse me" I said to the boys. They snickered. Then I saw Daniel hiding a familiar looking book behind him. "Oh my god that's my diary!" I said launching for it but then my ex crush stepped in front of me. "Not until I get my kiss that you've been longing to give me!" He said Pickering his lips. "Stop!" I said launching for my diary but Daniel's friends stopped me from getting any closer and he opened it again. His eyes glazed through the page and his friend started laughing. "Hey stop! That's mine and it's private!" I said with tears in my eyes.
"Omg Christina likes Daniel! That's rich! One of the boys said and the rest started laughing. I looked over at Christina and she gasped and started crying. "Christina I-" She interupted.

"This is all your fault! Why would you write about my frickin life in your diary?!" She said sobbing and running away. "Wait Christina I-" I stopped and turned to Daniel, he had closed the book and his friends let go of me. "Look what you did!" I yelled at them and snatched my book away."Hey you wrote it not us" Daniel said and they walked away.

End of flashback.

*beep* a car honked at me and I came back to present time. Christina looked over at me and waved with a smirk on her face. Then of course Riley got out of her car too.

I angerly sped off into a different part of the parking lot and parked. "Well look at that! Both of my ex best friends partnering up to ruin my life!" I yelled in my car and punched the steering wheel. I brushed back my hair in frustration and saw someone staring at me.

Luke? He started walking towards me and I felt my heart start pumping fast. Shit no don't come talk to me! Not like this! He tapped on my window and I rolled it down. "Hey Luke, listen right nows not a very good time to talk but we can later if you want" I said with my best fake smile.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah I'm fine" I said sighing.

"You don't seem fine" He said sympathetically.

"Well I am" I said smiling and opening my car door.

He leaned off my car and raised his eye brows "well if you want to talk about it-"

"That's really not necessarily I don't need to drag you into my drama" I said interrupting him and locking my car.

"Well I'm here in case you do want to talk" He said smiling.

We locked eyes for a second. Damn he's pretty cute. "Well its really is nice to see you" I said breaking the silence.

"Likewise" he said with a little bit of pink in his cheeks. I'm probably a blushing mess too!

"Well, do you want to help me find your sister?" I asked.

"Oh sure I think her first period is History but I forgot" He said chuckling.

"Okay" I said and we walked into school side by side. I noticed Riley standing by Ben and talking to him with a sad expression.

Daniel was listening to her and then he looked up and saw me. I waved and he lifted his hand to wave back but he got an angry expression and rolled his eyes. Whats his problem?!

"So you know what rooms senior history is in right?" Luke asked.

"What? Oh yeah this way" I said directing my attention back to finding Alyssa.

We walked down the hallway and peeked into classrooms until we found her. "Oh there you are!" I said walking up to her.

"Oh hey girl what's up" She asked getting out of her seat and hugging me. She noticed her brother was with me and furrowed her eye brows.

"He was helping me look for you" I said putting my hands in my pockets. "Thanks by the way" I said looking at him.

"No problem" He smiled and starred into my eyes.

I cleared my throat and looked over at Alyssa "so how was your weekend?" I asked and on the corner of my eye I saw Luke leaving.

"It was okay" She said with a smirk on her face.

"That's good" I said looking away.

"You're blushing" She giggled.

"I'm I? No actually you see I got a sunburn on my face and it's annoying" I said swallowing my saliva down my throat.

"Pfft okay" She chuckled rolling her eyes.

"What? It's true!" I said chuckling too.

"If you say so" She said with raised eyebrows.

"Well i've got to get to class so" I said looking at her for a minute.

"Alright then go" She said shooing me away and giggling.

I laughed and walked away to my class.
