Angel

Chapter 1

It's hard to be a young-adult these days. My name is Sophia and I am 19. I am from Greece and I am studying business administration. I am living alone in a small apartment at the center of Athens. My neighborhood is kinda shady in the night but it is really beautiful and peaceful in the morning. Like I said before my apartment is small but at least it's mine. I am working at a café near my apartment so I can support myself.

Let's start from the beginning.

Today is the first day in my new apartment, I was so excited to move in my own home and go to the university. I spent the whole day cleaning and organize my home. When I finished, I looked my watch it was 10 o'clock at night. I was ready to take the trash out. I put my shoes, grab the bags and lock the door. I don't know why I did it, I mean I will be back less than 5 minutes. I throw the trash in the trash bin and I was walking back home. I walked near an ally and that's when I hear someone shouting. I turned my head to watch what was happening.

It was a man who was holding another man. "You little piece of shit, where is my money??" the creepy tall man shouted "I-I don't have them, give me a month and I will give them to you, please don't kill me" the poor man begged "You steal from us and now you are saying you don't have them, I am going to kill you" the tall man shout. The tall man seemed really mad and the other man was crying.

What was happening near my home? Oh my god. Com'on Sophia just walk away it's not your business. I was ready to return to my house when I heard the man

"Please don't kill me I have 3 kids, my wife is dead. I am the only they have please I will give your money back" he begged. Oohh poor kids, I can't let the tall man kill him. Oh shut up Sophia it's not your business, it's bad news.

The tall man put a gun at the man's head and the man was crying. Just he was ready to pull the trigger another tall man showed up "Wait if we kill him we are not gonna get our money" he said "Yeah, Mr. Angel don't kill me I will give your money back just give me some time" the man begged. Angel, how ironic is this.

"That's what you said the last time bastard" Angel said. I couldn't see their features, I couldn't tell their faces just that they are tall and masculine. "That's why Alex will kill you and we will sell your kids" Angel coldly said and before the man say something Alex killed I screamed, both turned to look in my way. I hide, fuck Sophia are you stupid.

Run, run god dammit.

I stood up and started running and never looked back. I arrived to my house, I closed the door and lock it. I was breathing heavily. What just happened? What I just saw? The man was killed I remember him from somewhere but where. 

I have to calm down, I went to my bathroom to have a shower. I grab the towel and look myself to the mirror. I remember him. He was the man who had the mini market down the road. Oh my god. These men were going to sell his kids fuck what I am going to do. I should do something. I wear my clothes and I decide to go and get the kids and bring them here, it's almost midnight. I unlock the door and check if someone was there.

I start walking down the road and went to the mini market, the man's house was beside the mini market. I run there and knock the door as hard as I could. 

A boy opened the door "Who are you?" he asked 

"My name is Sophia you have to come with me, bad men are coming for you. Get your brothers and come with me" I told him "B-but dad said he will come back" he said confused "Your dad is dead you have to come with me please" I begged him "OK ok just let me get my brother and sister" he said and left.

2 minutes later they came. They were little kids and that happened to them. I told them to follow me. We run to my house, I locked the door, closed the windows "What's your name and how old are you?" I asked them "My name is Lucas and I am 14, this is my little brother Michael he is 10 and my little sister Mary, she is 6" Lucas said "Ok let get you ready to sleep and we will talk in the morning" I told them and get the couch ready for the kids to sleep.
