~Daxu's POV~
I never thought my brother would do something like that at his girlfriend’s birthday party and in front of everyone. I don’t really know what Angela said to Melody when she went to find her while we were at the club but I can pretty much imagine. My brother was an asshole and Melody is stupid for loving him so much. I’ll never hurt Angela as my brother hurt Melody. Never! No one saw Morpheas after what happened and when Melody returned to her party she was her usual self. Angela though told me she was crying inside even though she smiled…even though it was her birthday. When Angela said she wanted us to leave, I agreed with her taking her away from the club’s crowd.
"Let's go then." I said grabbing my keys from the table and walking us to my car.
Angela hesitated, eyeing me for a moment before she stepped forward, walking to my car. I had everything I wanted in my backseat. I climbed in, turning on the heat and leaving the radio at a quiet hum.
"Where are we going?" Angela asked in a hollow voice. ‘’This isn’t the way to my house.’’
What did I do that was so wrong? I kept asking myself every two seconds. Angela wasn’t overdramatic, but she looked scared of me. I hope she isn’t thinking I’m like my brother. I mean, she knows me better than that.
"A special place." I said back quietly, stealing a glance over at her.
She just continued to chew on her lip, nodding her head at me, "You're not going to rape me, are you?"
I let out a loud laugh, giving her a wide-eyed look, "What the fuck kind of question is that?"
She shrugged, a small smile finally playing on her lips as well, "I don't know. I just- It’s because he’s your brother." We got to the secret road I knew and I took a sharp left, probably only frightening Angela even more, so we could continue down the gravel road. "Now where are we going?" She questioned, fear coating her tone.
"Calm down, it’s a place that's really special to me." I said lowly, turning down another path until I stopped, right in front of the cliff. " It's beautiful to watch the sun from here."
"Wow." Angela gasped, getting out of the car to look around. "How did we get all the way up here?" She asked me smiling a golden smile.
"The city loops around and slowly goes up a big cliff type of thing. This is the top of the loop." I said to her and then I added, ‘’you hurt me though I would never hurt you like my brother did to Melody. I’m not that kind of a guy and you know it.’’ I said to her in all honesty and in a sad tone.
"I’m sorry for doubting you and you’re right…I know you better than that. I just freaked out with what Morph did. I mean, did you expect to be such an asshole?’’ She said as she came in front of me and hugged me.
‘’To tell you the truth I kind of did.’’ I replied to her as she kissed my cheek. ‘’What will Melody do now?’’ I asked her, wondering about Melody’s next move after everything that happened.
‘’She’s not sure… And she won’t ever forget what Morph did to her. You can count on it!’’ Angela replied to me and I sensed hate in her voice. I couldn’t blame her though. What my brother did… was horrible. ‘’You didn’t tell me though, how in hell did you find a place like this?" She asked me and I bit my lip, fighting back the tears that so desperately wanted to come out.
"It’s my special spot and you have the honor to be the first one I brought to this place.’’ I said turning around and connecting our lips.
Even if things didn’t work out with Kendra,
I’ll make them work with Angela.
