Sipping his Maesil cha, Yoongi timidly smiles down at his tea cup causing his father to let out a half-hearted snicker.

Jimin and Yoongi have been constantly messaging and calling each other every chance they get ever since the dinner date, as much as they want to go out again they can't find the time to do so for Jimin is busy with his last month of university, Yoongi had been attending business going in and out of the country and he's glad that he finally found the time to visit his parents in Daegu, although his mother seems to be out of town taking care of some liability.

"How'd you find out, Appa?" Yoongi questions, quirking an eyebrow in curiosity.

"Is it something we shouldn't know of?" Yoongi's father, Dongwon, remarks teasingly at his son. It's not that Yoongi wants to keep Jimin from his parents, he had decided that if whatever he has going on with Jimin continues then that's when he'll tell his parents. Not like this, he feels like a busted teenager.

Growing up in a Min household you are irrevocably molded from trust and honesty. No matter what they have in mind, they are taught to speak up about it even at such young age. Your voice will always matter. And besides, communication is what makes a perfect team for such a powerful syndicate.Despite that, Yoongi had always been a reserved child, silent unless he knows his opinion can contribute to the given situation or letting his actions speaking louder for himself. Yoonji had always been the voice of reason out of the two of them.

Yoongi feels himself deflate.

"No... I wanted to be the one to tell you." Yoongi sighs, glancing at his father, "Eunji told you, didn't she?"

"Well," Dongwon begins, gauging Yoongi to groan , "I am your daughter's personal diary after all."

"Yeah." The son hums, a comfortable silence hovering over them.

"But son, I want you to know that an innocent civilian like him is no fit for our world, we've gotten so far into this kind of business not getting them involved, it's been so long since I remember you taking an interest on someone and as a father I am glad but as a mob boss, I am worried. We are not good men, Yoongi, we can only hide so much dirt we have and keep people like him unharmed."

Of course he knows that, they aren't some kkangpae's with bats that beat people up who disobeys them in their district whether it be civilians or criminals nor do they take money from innocent people with small businesses, they meddle with people who are in just as much illegal crimes as they are— big corporations with bigger dirty secrets. Although they do not get themselves directly involved with politicians– betrayal is prone with these type of people- the only reason the government hasn't touched them yet is because they keep illegal works and lawbreakers in check, making sure no law-abiding citizen gets caught up with them.

The fact that Eunji alone has to learn from a young age that her family is not like others along with a risky environment is enough to keep Yoongi up at nights, if he could just leave everything behind and raise her daughter normally, he would in a heartbeat, but he is a man with obligations, if he so steps down from his pedestal all hell will break loose.

Park Jimin though, he is a different story. He was not born in Yoongi's world, he had yet to see Yoongi in his true environment and the chances of him running away is high enough, Yoongi cannot fathom having Jimin see a world full of cruelty and deception for he does not deserve that. The thought has him chewing guiltily the insides of his cheeks. Can his conscience bear with that?
