Just a simple person is trying to shine a little light on the beautiful world of webtoon. With a splash of sarcasm, narration, and spitfire along the way. And who knows I might have other segments just for the hell of it.
I know this is freaking cheesy, but when I was a kid, I would always try to act out the cartoons that I saw on TV. Anime, superheroes, and games always interested me to no end. Combine that with my sharp wit, and I guess it was kind of inevitable, I'd find my way here. I always wanted to bring my stories, and it may have taken a while to admit, but Wattpad was certainly my answer.
My first real original story was something I had called Dawn, which is essentially a made sci-fi story about a couple of vigilantes trying to stop genetic hybrids, apocalyptic robots, and mercenaries. I eventually scrapped this and moved on to much bigger things as you can see. Though like I said before, I was merely reduced to telling people about it for months for anyone who would lend an ear. However, this was a blessing in disguise. It gave me time to really learn, deconstruct, and fully shape much of my story. I always considered myself my own worst critic.
All I needed was the platform that would lead me to success and the conversation I had craved, and that was... the archive of our own. Which is the worst place ever for my content so a couple of months later a friend pointed me to wattpad and here we are. My opinions on Wattpad are mixed. I like the people, not the way wattpad runs itself. If you do your research, you'll see that it can make mistakes and disorganized, but at least I get exposure. I also have mixed feelings on the people here. Look there is a reason why one of Wattpad's most popular books have us rooting for the most dysfunctional relationships I had ever read. However, even though I think some people shouldn't have to power to create, I also think that this is probably one of the best places to grow and learn. And I would be lying through my teeth if I said that I didn't meet some truly amazing people, and I appreciate every follower of my guild. And I appreciate that after so long my wacky ideas have meaning here.
So I guess the only way that I can even reflect properly is to ask something of you: be honest with me and give me a chance. I'm never going to stop improving myself, but an opinion helps, and opinion matters. Opinions help us grow for better and for worse. So please share your thoughts because I am listening and I know if you give me a chance, then you might get something out of it. I know I certainly do. Stories should always be made to last forever and speak to all, and on here, it'll be made up of you as well. So thank you for your time, and as you undoubtedly start to click on some other random fringe of the internet, please keep this in mind. Be honest with yourself and when you finally look in the mirror, let that be the best and happiest version you can be. Life is short, but the changes you make can be forever. But in the meantime, let's all take a moment to sit back and relax and see where the spotlight shines next. It may be you or me, or god knows where, so expect the unexpected because it's only there where will all be enlightened, where we all shine.
