A Voice in The Wilderness

My world is broken
I'm falling
Crashing, burning, hurting
And all society sees is the chaos
All my people tell me is of war
Destruction of the soul
An outburst of lawlessness
A disease called hopelessness

For once inspire me
Show me that there is  better to be
That tomorrow is another day
Another chance to correct our errors
Instead,our politicians are rouge
Our police men are just as bad as the criminals
And injustice seems to be the only way of paying lost debts
They call us evolution
Instead we need a revolution
Because the New Years resolution
Only lasts about a week
And that promise serves no contribution
To a better tomorrow

Our idols stink of greed
They use money as feed
Luring our innocent lambs
Into the claws of the howling wolves
Like animals they speak and act
More uncivilized than prehistoric man
And prophets preach of the end of ages
The earth is getting hotter
And so is hell
Yet still they rebel
Now, evermore the heavens seems empty
For all the saints have died young

Now there's an outburst of religious fanatics
Which should be fantastic
If half weren't hypocrites
Refusing widows and addicts
Slavery was never really abolished
We just got better at hiding it
We're slaves to deception
To imperfection
To rejection
Lessening ourselves to a reflection
Was that the intention?

Terrorist seem more united
Than the ones who get excited
To talk about unity itself
Divide and conquer
Guess you didn't encounter
The realistic nightmare of organ theft
Our kind being slaughtered like pigs
Seems like there's a price on life
That money can buy a baby
Days are getting darker lately

Lately it's been depressing
Being fearful of tomorrow
Not knowing if today would be the last
Because time flies fast
You live everyday
But you only die once
