All she ever wanted was the truth
He only needed to find a soulmate
Someone who won't walk away
He just wanted someone to stay
But she fell away
Because she was in danger
A past crawling
Back keeping her from moving on to the next chapter.
He said write about soulmates
She hadn't truly understood the meaning of that word.
All she knew is that everything she ever wanted belonged in someone else.
Everything she needed was in him.
And even when she blocked him out,
He'd still long for her pieces
Maybe she left splinters in him
That was the thing that hurt her most
Saying goodbye
Soulmates aren't real.
If it were they'd still be with each other.
