~Lili's POV~

Finally, Gilbert spoke. "Oh no, vee can't possibly be thinking of zee same Natalya, can vee?" he inquired, his face betraying a Say it isn't so expression. "Well," I described, "She has the most gorgeous blonde hair, and blue eyes like pools of water" I noticed that Francis had a smirk on his face. "You, my dear, appear to have fallen for the wrong person." I blushed and quickly snapped back, flustered "I'm not falling for her! We're just kinda friends, that's all." Francis looked like he had more to say about my nonexistent girl-crush, but Antonio thankfully interjected "Amigos, this is beside the point." he said "What we really should be doing is warning Lili about how dangerous this Natalya woman is." All of a sudden, Elizabeta, who had been silent this entire time, exploded "You wanna know about Natalya! I'll tell you all I know about her!" she snarled "She used to go to a different school, but she was expelled for breaking her boyfriend's fingers. She spent six months in juvie! Her brother just came here, as he was locked up in a Russian prison for aggravated assault!" I could only allow my jaw to hang open in shock. This girl was dangerous! However, I felt reluctant to denounce her. Could Francis be right, and I do have a girl crush on Natalya? What would my brother think of that? My head swam with thoughts until Elizabeta interrupted them "Bottom line is, stay away from that girl." We continued talking until the lunch bell rang.

~Time Skip Brought To You By Excruciatingly Difficult High School Courses~

It was 8th period, the last period of the day, and my drama class! It was also one of the few periods I had with Natalya.(The other two are math and science, and both teachers don't allow talking) I walked in, and took a seat near Natalya. Our teacher, Mr. Wang, arrived promptly and immediately began giving our assignments for today. "Lovino, Antonio, you test the lighting. Lili, Natalya, you paint the tree sets-aru ." Even though I should have been scared about this, I felt a small amount of delight. I headed over to paint the trees with Natalya. The first 45 minutes of the period were pretty uneventful. Finally, I decided to talk to her. I turned to her and tapped her shoulder. The next few seconds were a blur. She whirled around to punch me, but I grabbed the arm and put her in a chokehold. Mr. Wang noticed that someone in the room was making dying bird noises and ran over to see what was going on. His eyes widened as he took in the sight before him: Me, who only weighs about 100 pounds, strangling the most feared girl in the school. Mr. Wang was quick to interfere, to his credit. "What is going on here!" He exclaimed, causing me to let go of Natalya, whose face was as blue as her eyes at this point. She dropped to the floor, gasping for air. Another student, a goody-goody by the name of Eduard Von Bock, quickly piped up "Mr. Wang, Lili touched Natalya's shoulder, causing Natalya to try to punch her. Then, Lili put her in a chokehold! Oh Mr. Wang, I was so scared!" I rolled my eyes at his frightened tone. "Everyone back to work!" Mr. Wang shouted "And you two are going to clean the drama room after class." I groaned. Big brother was not going to be pleased that got punished on my first day. Mr. Wang had both Natalya and I sit in the corner and not speak until the class ended.

After the final bell rang, Mr. Wang had to leave for a teacher meeting. "I have cameras in this room that I will be using to watch you, so don't try anything funny-aru!" he hissed, before leaving the room. Natalya went to grab a broom, and uttered two words to me: "I'm sorry." I frowned. "How so?" I asked. "Listen" Natalya murmured, her striking blue eyes staring into my green ones "I just have that kind of reaction when people touch me from behind." I sighed "Sorry for almost choking you, I shouldn't have done that." I apologized. "Don't, it was my fault." Natalya said. I decided to find out more about that glasses kid from first period "Hey, who was the obnoxious glasses kid from earlier?" I asked. "That was Alfred." she replied "He's really stupid and rude, but everyone seems to like him." "Well, I don't" I told her. A slight smile flashed across Natalya's face. "Well, you're not everyone" she reminded me. This whole Alfred business seemed to be getting her bow in a twist, so I changed the subject. "We have an interesting teacher for first period, wouldn't you agree?" She simply stared at me "You do realize that she's my sister, right?" I gasped. "Really?" I exclaimed, shocked. "Unfortunately, yes." continued Natalya "She doesn't care about me, just my older brother." I decided that now was a good time to say something stupid. "The one that went to prison?" I regretted these words as soon as they left my mouth. "Um, yes." Natalya looked like she was wondering how I got this information, but didn't bother to ask "Anyway, what's it like to live with Vash?" I chuckled "Ok, once you get used to his constant ranting and obsession with safety protocols." I grinned.

At that moment, Mr. Wang returned. "Ok girls, you can go home now-aru." Natalya and I left the room and headed towards the pickup area. Natalya said a hasty goodbye before getting into a white pickup truck. A blonde man sat in the driver's seat, grinning creepily. "Hello my little подсолнух." he hissed. Natalya simply ignored him as she got into the passenger's seat. Suddenly, I heard honking. Big Brother was in his red Jeep Wrangler, calling me over. I quickly ran over and got in the car. Big Brother began to scold me, but I wasn't listening. My thoughts were somewhere between lofty joy that Natalya opened up to me and worry about her safety.
