if he were to ask;
do i ever cross your mind?
the answer would be yes, you cross my mind on the late summer nights we used to spend talking or sleeping, wrapped around each other's comfort.
and when i lay awake on the same nights we spent together a year later thinking of him,
sometimes i hope he still thinks of me.
i know he doesn't, i'm aware he's tossed me aside and put those memories in a box that will collect dust,
but i hope that year meant something.
i hope i meant something, and the memory of me won't be so easily tossed aside.
but no one will truly know how he thinks of me but himself, for the word "no" is so easy to say in response of the question;
does she ever cross your mind?
