When I reached the park nearby, there was no sign of Neymar, Poppy or even Bandit.

"Typical, Neymar. Thinking that joking around will do any justice..."

I was serious about this. Poppy and my new job at Cartier meant the world to me. I had already explained how much I craved the jewellery designing job in Paris, and I had gotten it. But Poppy, she'd always meant more.

She was a present for my dad when I moved to New York. My parents were a month or so divorced, and he was lonely in his flat in the city. He did have a girlfriend, however, but even he wanted more company to keep him feeling more alive.

Poppy was one of five pups I had spotted on my drive to New York from the airport I had landed in in Washington D.C. A puppy farm. My eyes had never felt more blessed with all that cuteness. And picking one was one of the hardest decisions.

But my girl was special, and I picked her because she had started sniffing my Coach bag in approval.

My dad adored her, I had never seen him more happy ever since the divorce. But he wasn't too happy for that much longer. Not when my mother rang him when she found I was staying with him and he stormed out of the flat saying he was going to take a drive to clear his head outside of the city.

They found his car twenty kilometres outside New York City. He had been in a car accident, and the blow had instantly killed him.

By now, I had never felt a more nervous, sickly feeling in my stomach. What if Neymar had taken the two dogs out for an innocent walk and lost one of them? Or he had been attacked by paparazzi? Or one of the paparazzi dog-napped Poppy?

I couldn't bare to imagine even more horrible possibilities.

I was bored, and like a bored person does, they stare around anywhere in their surroundings. I had decided to examine a cute like café/restaurant near the dog park.

Vanity Fur

It looked beautiful and glamorous, as all Parisian cafés and restaurants did. But it was a dog/puppy café, where everywhere you looked, there was a cute little canine.

"Poppy!" I squealed at the sight of my puppy's tail... going underneath some customer's table quietly! "No, no, no!"

I could feel my cheeks rising in temperature. I couldn't even imagine how the customer would feel or react when they saw Poppy underneath their table.

I came to a hault once I reached it. "N- Neymar?

There sat Neymar da Silva Santos in all of his glory with a stupid smirk on his face and huge sunglasses covering most of his stupid face. "Took you long enough, belo."

I seriously wanted to slap him on the cheek, and hard, but instead, I did it on his shoulder 'playfully'. You didn't know who would be lurking around hungry for some Neymar gossip.

"I ordered you a cappuccino, by the way." he said. "I only got here fifteen minutes ago."

"That's nice, but I normally get a cappuccino with three shots of coffee, soya milk, extra foam and extra chocolate powder sprinkled on the top."

"I did." Neymar rubbed the back of his neck. "You could say I'm kind of psychic." If he didn't have his sunnies on, he would've winked.

"I'm surprised you interrogated Jade so easily. Nothing goes through that girl, unless it's really special."

"You and your cappuccino preference are special." was what Neymar said.
