Dr Mansi was shocked, to say the least when she heard the baby's cries.
In a case like Anjali's with the further complications of the day's events, she had completely lost hope for the child to survive, but it was cases like these that made her believe in miracles.
The baby although alive still needed to be transferred to the NICU immediately and Anjali still required attention. With the help of the Maternal-Fetal Doctor sent in the team, she was able to end the procedure soon and moved out of the room.

While she walked out to the hallway to greet the waiting family, she removed her mask revealing the amused expression on her face which she had to control as she saw them all hurdle around her as soon as she opened the door.

" Aap logon ki duayon ne asar dikha diya hai. Anjali bhi ttheek hai aur aapka pota bhi."

Your prayers worked. Anjali is fine and so is your grandson. )

She revealed the good news to the family with a gentle smile.
Going back to her professional face, she explained further.

" The baby is still quite a few weeks premature and is currently shifted to the NICU which is the last door towards your right if you want to look at him. Anjali will take some time to wake up. Once we shift her to Private ward-16, you can go see her. I'll see you in an hour for the Post-Op observations."

Nodding at the Thank yous from the family and smiling at Devyani's folded hands, she moved further down the hall, stopping in her steps when she saw the man who had been missing for most of the pregnancy down on his knees at the temple.

Like everyone else, she too didn't know how to figure out Arnav Singh Raizada. First, he basically threatens her while asking for information about the case and then just disappears after the incident and now suddenly he comes back, which did not do any good to her patient's health and here he was, the arrogant, egoistic mighty ASR reduced to tears in front of the deity he had publically rejected.

She couldn't help herself as she softly told him what she had said to the family.

But besides a split second of relief, she couldn't get much of a reaction from the man who continued muttering prayers in front of the temple with his hands folded tightly.

Surprised, she just assured him that everything would be fine and moved on.

But ASR still sat there. He was relieved to hear about his sister and nephew, but his mind was still at unease about Khushi and he didn't even know how to find out anything.

" You gave Di her lifeline back, and I cannot thank you enough for that. But I still have to ask you for something else. I lost today, against you and against destiny. But my punishment can't hurt her. She already bore the brunt of my actions. Please, Devi Maiyaan, give back her everything that I snatched from her. I am ready to bear any punishment you want to send my way and I will never complain. But just give back her life to your past devoted believer. Please."
