"Remind me again why you dragged me here?" Mordecai sighed, looking around the nightclub at the masses and masses of drunk people dancing. The lights were disorientating but at the same time, Hypnotic is much dimly lit than Borealis. Borealis had dim, blue lights, but Hypnotic was shrouded in complete darkness with much brighter and neon-coloured lasers. Personally, it hurts my brain to even look around. At least they had a giant aquarium which I occasionally watched.

'I told you, mutual support, plus, you wanna meet Fresh, right?'

"I thought his name was now Blixer?"

'Blixer, sorry, just a habit of mine.'

"But still, Hypnotic is shady as! I have a feeling that I'm gonna end up waking up in a bathtub with my kidneys gone. Plus, where is Blixer?"

'You remember Barracuda?'

"No."

'Sorry, er, Phoebe? The one with the snakes?'

"Oh yeah, her?"

'Apparently the two met a couple days ago. She's currently introducing him to a couple of her friends and some more DJs. I'm not good with new people so he just went alone.'

"Ah." Mordecai nodded. "He said any shit that hurt your feelings yet?"

'No? Why?'

"If he breaks your heart tell me and I'll go over there, castrate him, and shove his guitar so far up his ass he'll-"

'I'll what?' A deep, booming voice interrupted Mordecai and I have never seen colour drain from anyone's face so quickly. He whirled around and was face to face with a seven foot, pink-haired man smirking down at him, clearly amused by the look on his face. He wore a black leather jacket with a black shirt underneath, imprinted with a design. He had a hat to conceal his horns, and a pair of cyan blue headphones hung around his neck.

"Hey Blix." I greeted him.

"Hey (Y/N). This the guy who tried to screw me?"

Mordecai's face went from normal to pale to red in a matter of a few seconds. "N-No-"

'Yes he is.'

"(Y/N)! Why did you-"

Blixer just laughed as he stuck out a hand.

'Started out on the wrong foot, so I guess I'll introduce myself again. I'm Blixer.'

"I'm M-Mordecai... You're not mad?"

'I know I'm hot, I don't blame you for not being able to control primal urges-'

"Blixer you're describing him like he's an animal in heat."

Blixer just laughed when Mordecai's face flushed even more red.

'Plus. Any friend of (Y/N)'s a friend of mine.' Blixer ordered a whiskey, which the bartender (slightly intimidated by his appearance) gave him.

"Oi! Blixer!" A familiar voice called out. This time it was Tetra, accompanying them were their two siblings, Quin and Pi, dressed appropriately for the occasion. Seeing Tetra in a skirt still unnerves me slightly. "Hey (Y/N)! Hey Mordecai!"

The three of us all greeted them back equally warm, starting to converse with each other. We all bought drinks, except for Quin, and laughed merrily.

But despite everything I kept on getting this unnerved feeling. Like something bad was gonna happen that night. Blixer noticed this and wordlessly pulled me away to check on me. I told him, but he just assured me everything was gonna be fine and it was just the change of atmosphere. He's right. Besides now, with the amount of intimidation this guy's aura gives off, I highly doubt anyone would dare cross him. Or me. And seeing how some of the men in this nightclub look at me, I guess I should stick close to someone.
