Chapter 15 Pt. 1

" So my sisters birthday is next week. she'll be 30 she wanted me to bring the kids to a party she having at my parents but i said if you can't come neither can they" Dave said to me as i got dressed to go to the mall

He had told me him and Joy broke up over her insecurities and always wanting to argue over me and that had been a smooth 2 weeks ago. He told me that something of his had came up missing and he had been working day in and day out trying to figure it out.

Not only that but Pinky told me Ace has been acting strange towards her and Dave. He would catch attitudes with Pinky over the smallest things and he would completely ignore Dave whenever Dave tried to call him.

Unexpectedly last week I had got a call from Wix asking was it possible to meet up but of course I said no. There was no reason to and it would be pointless because i'm nowhere near interested anymore. I guess he didn't take that lightly because he ended up cussing me out saying I was gone pay for whatever. I wanted to tell Dave but it seems he has his own shit to deal with

Speaking of which, for two weeks me and his relationship have grown, I told him about wanting to move in and how my lease is up next week and he was so excited. He showed me the room he had for the twins and he showed me the room he had decorated just for me. As the weeks have past I can say my feelings for him have grown just a little. Baby steps

"You can take them, I know your sisters are not really fond of me and i quite frankly don't want to be around that type of energy" I shrugged getting the twins bag together as I found them clothes to wear

To say Dave here helping me was a blessing was an understatement. Although they aren't really a handful, sometimes it gets overwhelming, especially at night. One wakes up the other and it's twice as much work to put them back to sleep and to go to sleep myself. I also still can't work due to not having a stable baby sitter for them.

"Naw. We building and I know for a fact we're gonna have a future. I don't want you to feel left out with my family just because of my sisters. I'll talk to them for you" he said kissing my forehead like that shit would help

I mind my business and bitches still don't like me. tuh, i'm that pretty

"We all set to go?" I nodded as he grabbed one baby and I grabbed the other

Me and Dave talked more as we headed for the car.

As i strapped the twins in and got in myself i looked at my phone to see i had a miss call from an unknown number, i shook my head and completely ignored it

We got to the mall and headed for stores

"Here" Dave said handing me one of his cards and i looked at him puzzled

"I know you can't work right now, so i'm treating you to go shopping, you can shop for yourself or the babies or both. no limit, later on we'll go to walmart and grab some more items for the twins" I looked at him still confused but my confusion turned into a smile

"You care about me" I said as he smirked and looked away

"Man gone head. I'll meet up with you at the food court in an hour or two, you keep Karter i got Adri" He said as he kissed my forehead and walked out

I was about to ball out.

"It's a surprise seeing you here" the girl said as i turned around and turned up my nose at the sight i seen

"Can't speak? We had great times together before you ran off and got another broad pregnant"

"Watch your mouth when you addressing my kids mother Shauna"
