I made a pact
with the demon
that has defiled me.
I was doing my regular business until out of nowhere,
a chill i received on a
hot sunny day.
I turned and looked only to see a spider with 8 legs.
It was as if as though
hewas leading me somewhere.
My fear of spiders is still in me,
but i kept it until this thing
is over.
The spider gone, my shadow grew up to ceiling high.
That's when I knew that he's here.
He's back to reign more fear.
But little did he know, the things i had
to go through to face him near
Alas, the windows of the room shut close.
No light passes through.
I can still feel the shiver in spine
and the red eyes staring in mine.
"Hello" says the voice
I knew it anywhere.
I memorized each word it said when I first heard it.
The tone of it's voice in each emotion---playful, sadness, greed, wicked, and angry.
I held my head high and clenched my fists to a ball.
"What do you want?" I asked
"Nothing." And no more.
"You cant hurt me.
Not anymore.
Not like before." I firmly stated.
The shadow wrapped around my body whispering that it's bored.
A game---that's everything to him.
Play a bet, and you lose.
Everything is for him
to win.
But not anymore.
Not this time.
I learned my lesson hard.
All i need for me to do is make him play his own cards.
I agreed to continue on with whatever that it needs
A game
A fun game
And a game it will receive
It needs something, a luxury from me
My time, i said, once again
With a nod, it agreed
Bet, i said.
I have nothing, it said
Your honesty is a luxury
And i want it as a bet.
Two monsters---
1 is born
1 is crafted and made
I wear your scars like an armor
I'll win your game
I'll win your honesty
And i will be your nightmare
