Chapter 52

"Fine, I get it." I said. "Don't talk about her now."

"Okay. Keep me posted." He said. "I was expecting us to have a long talk or something." He grumbled.

"Where are you now? Out? In?"

"Night in." He said. "In Elliot's villa."

"You guys went from one to another one?" I chuckled.

"You should have came with us."

"I know, but I think you three should have some bonding time."

"We always do." I know he must have rolled his eyes while saying this.

"Okay, Get back and have fun. I will see you Monday. I love you." I sang the last sentence.

"Keep me updated and no pubs or clubs with that guy." He muttered. "Don't even go there with Skylar. It's not safe."

"Okay, Okay. See you."

"I love you."

"I love you." I said and we ended the call.

"That took you a while." Ashton said. "Thought you might be asking for a table in that corner soon."

"I should have." I said thoughtfully and smiled and sat down. "Where were we?" I looked at them and they shake their head.

"Night Night." We said bye to Ashton as we exited the elevator.

"See you two later." He called out before the elevator's door shut closed and he moved up to his place. I texted Carson I was almost home and Skylar and I was walking towards the door.

"Goodnight." Skylar waved as she moved to her room. "Thank you for coming with me. I had lots of fun."

"Thanks for the plan, sleep well."

"You too." She said as she walked into her room. I made sure all the lights outside the living space was off before going to my room. Carson texted me saying, "They were having BBQ night" and I chuckled at the idea of three of them in the huge space, maybe they are used to doing things together even in bigger space.

I went to bed after sometime and I was awoken by a phone call in the middle of the night- by the most unexpected person.

My grandma's assistant, Laurie.

"You have to come back to San Jose, your grandma had a sudden heart attack."

That woke me all of a sudden, completely and I was disheveled and utterly lost.

I was running around my room, trying to dress up and at the same time figure out what happened.

"It was all very sudden, she is in the emergency room, I thought you should know."

"I am coming." I said, but I am not sure how?

"We are arranging ways for you to come over."

"Yes." I said. "Just let me know and I should be there." I panic and started crying. Even though, I dislike my grandma for taking me away from my parents, she has brought me up and still took care of me and give me everything and provided me with things. I know she is protective and scared that one day, I will move forward and never look back for her, for something that I disagree with her, but she is family and the only family that I have right now. I sobbed as I ended the call with Laurie and she said to give her sometime to make arrangement. She said, most probably I have to go to the airport and she will provide me the flight details and I was in a rush as I took my things and stuffed it in a bag.

"What's wrong?" Skylar asked, I see her in the kitchen.

"Did I wake you up? I am sorry." I apologize.

"No, I came to fill my bottle." She said. "Where are you going?"

"I have to fly home." I sobbed. "My g-grandma."

"Shh." She hushed and give me a hug. "Will you be okay?"

"I have to get to the airport, right now." I said and she nodded her head.

"Should I call Uber?" She asked.

"Yes please." I cried as she nodded her head and ran towards her room, most probably to get her phone.

If I only knew that after this, it was going to be so different and that, this will be my last time over here. I would have appreciated the place and the people around me, especially Carson.
