Pov 3rd

Katrina opened her eyes seeing her husband on the phone. "Honey, what's wrong?" He didn't answer since he was hearing his wife's sister was innocent the entire time. Katrina patience grew thin and gave up. Then she felt a hand on her shoulder. "Babe you will want to hear this. It's important." Katrina took the phone and listened. She covered her mouth and started to cry.

She ended the call hugging her husband. "She didn't deserve to die! I knew she had something to do with my sisters change! She's gone and we couldn't even fucking bury her. Burying her was just one small thing we asked and they refused. " Katrina broke down in the grasp of her husband.

Her husband listened to her heartbeat to make sure she was calm. A few minutes later Katrina feel asleep with tears marking her face. Her husband covered her and grabbed his phone. He contacted the others. They too had a feeling of shock but not as much as Katrina who still felt guilty about the whole ordeal.

"She's still blaming herself and she sometimes has nightmares. I told her I can take her to a therapist but she always refuses and I don't know what to do anymore. I'm scared what she's going to after finding out." Everyone nodded. My heart broke when I saw Katrina blaming her self for something she couldn't even avoid nor prevent. I felt tears coming out but I held it in.

Everyone knew how delicate Katrina was even though she never shows it. I felt a hand on my shoulder and  I looked up to see Gabe. He motioned me to follow him in the kitchen. No one took notice to me leaving. "What did you want me here for?" He looked down and then sighed. "I'm worried about her. I know how she handles shit like this and when she has a happy mood to be then crushed. It just means bad news for her. I never told you this and I know she never told you this but she used to try to commit suicide. When things get too hard for her and she feels guilty she would grab a razor and cut her arms. I helped her stop because she is needed here and she is loved. I check her arms to make sure she's safe but this... I don't know. I want you to love her and check her arms without being too obvious." I felt tears stream down my face not being able to stop them.

"I will do it and thank you for telling me." He nodded and gave me a hug. We both went back to the living room to see Katrina up. I knew she was pissed off when she glared at me. She stormed towards me and dragged me to the kitchen. "Thanks for telling me you're going to throw a surprise party." "I know how you may feel but they just care about you." "So you think I'm some depressed person who needs people to bring her up! Tell me!" "Of course I don't think of you like that. All those people don't think that. Just calm down and talk with your family." I could she was slowly calming down and I gave her a kiss on her forehead. "You know I love you right so if you want to let them leave I will let you." She shook her head no.

We spend time talking to each other and making Katrina forget about the incident. The police told us that we didn't have to do anything since they have searched and asked questions before. I was glad we didn't have to go because it would have stressed out Katrina too much. It was soon night time and we had to say our goodbyes. I walked out every person and watched them drive off. "You're going to get sick just standing out there. Michael wants you to read him a book." I nodded and went back inside then I went to my son's room. I knocked on the wall so he would know I was there.

He gave me a glare but when I grabbed a book he instantly changed his mood. "Hey, how are you doing right now?" He thought about it and then told me. "I'm fine. Now can we please read the book." I nodded and opened the book and read. "The fire queen took her sword to announce her newest knight. He smiled happily knowing he was going to make his family proud. When the ceremony was done he went to training. He did this to get stronger.  He was walking in a forest just minding his busy and then he saw a frail old lady. 'Do you need help miss?' he asked. She nodded and gave him bags to carry..." I read thirty pages when he finally fell asleep.
