I'm Back ;)

Actually I'm only back for a little while. My finals and tests are coming up and I'm intensely studying😫. However, I felt that as a Clover I need to address a few things.

As many of you know, Roy was caught smoking illegally inside a Beijing restaurant on May 20th and because of his previous "squeaky clean" reputation, this became huge news in China. Roy has since apologized and faced the consequence. Overnight, people turned on him and trolled him. In addition, they even brought Jackson and Karry into the whole mess and begin to spread rumors of TFBOYS disbanding.

Personally, I think the publicity this whole situation received was just ridiculous! Yes, he is represented as good kid in media, a role model for kids, and even a potential next biggest songwriter/singer of China but Roy is only human. Media tend to portray stars as perfect creatures because it is human nature to pursue the perfect version of anything. But, no one is perfect. Humans are born to make decisions. With each decision comes a consequence. Roy made a decision and was it bad? Yes. Probably the worse he made in his life. Did he accept the consequences. Yes.
And those two questions are all we as fans needed to know the answers to. The publicity was very unnecessary.

The number of fans who immediately gave up on Roy or started blaming him for not telling them or even pointed fingers at other stars for giving him bad influence made me really angry. I admit I was disappointed myself when I saw the news. But I still like Roy and I decided that he made a poor choice of his own and I accept his apology.

Of course Roy never meant to hurt any of his fans. He was under a lot of stress and probably couldn't figure out a good way to relieve the stress. Debuting as a teen is difficult. He expressed in many shows that he doesn't want so much spotlight on him anymore and it was tiring. I was hoping fans would stay with him through this hard time and the fans who stayed got an awesome treat yesterday. (June 8th, 2019)

Roy released a new song called "滚烫的青春" or "Hot Youthful Time" (The translation is not accurate because there are not exact English words that means the title. I tried my best) It was his way of replying to the haters and was an amazing comeback. (I didn't realize how much I missed him in the half a month he was gone😭) The song consists of electric guitars, a simple drum beat, a simple song lyrics but I teared up a bit when I heard it. This song is not elaborate or anything. Roy wrote what he had in his heart and what it had transmitted through the song was very powerful. My favorite section is:
"滚烫的青春 (Hot Youthful Time)
有很多过程(There's a lot of process)
经历过了 (As long as you experienced it)
就变成了大人 (You will be an adult)"
I felt he grew up a lot in this half a month and I can't wait for more of his songs.
