The smile of a person,
so touched by the deeds of another;
Unexpected, impactful,
sets forth the winds and waves of change.
Days sometimes worsen;
It feels like stress smothers.
Every second a battle
Through countless social exchanges.
It's truly the minute things
That bring the difference.
A pleasant word said,
A warm meal shared.
Let us loosen each other's strings,
chase away the bitterness,
break peaceful bread.
Let them know, above all, someone cares.
