Day Two
I had finally told Ada the whole story about my first date and she was very much amused by it. A week later I decided to go on another date.
"Ada, I think I should go for a special shopping because of all these dates I plan on going on. And I was overdressed the last time. You should have seen how casual David looked.' I said as I busied myself with preparations.
"Sister don't worry about anything, mom and Dad have got you covered. Remember you told me to tell them about the date "Stress on the date biko", those were your words. So I told them everything you were up to. This is what came out from my revelation "
She moved closer to her closet and opened it and I saw a lot of dresses, that still had their labels on them
"Wait a minute ada, mom and dad bought all these? Wow!! They are really working towards this mandate. '
I started pulling out the clothes one after the other and they had similar designs to the one I wore on the first date. My mouth fell open my parents were really serious about this whole thing. Dad complains about giving me money for my hair sometimes but has enough to change my wardrobe just because of a husband. Not to talk of mother who always insists that her money goes to her shop
"Bia Ada, are you telling me that mom and picked out this hot infact sizzling dresses for me,what happened to their parenting instincts! These are too hot"
Ada rolled her eyes and began search for the one for the evening"Sister Lukewarm, biko don't forget lukewarm besides I helped them pick the clothes"
That explains the whole thing I thought.
"The last lukewarm look you gave me, kept the man's eyes on the ceiling and not on my body, I have a feeling that these ones would be much more disastrous"
She only laughed and went to my purse
"Sister do you have a gum here, I'm craving for mint "
I told her that I had one left in my purse while I went in to bathroom to have my bath.
I was almost done with bathing, all I had to do was to wash the soap lather off my face before my sister screamed so loud.
I took my towel that I had initially hung on the wall wrapped it around my body and ran out.
" Ada! Ada! O gini? What happened? "
She was pointing at something in my purse before my phone began to ring.
I reached out for my phone and it was my friend laura, requesting for a video call.
"Sister what, omg! How come! "
My sister was not making any sense so I decided to take laura's call.
" Hello amy I, uh, I umm, I uh, I, I, " I kept the phone far from my face and turned to face Ada
"Ada don't tell me you told laura everything " I said smiling at my screen
"We chatted yesterday and the gist was too good to keep a secret" Ada replied
Laura on the other hand was busy laughing at me
" Amaka so you even smoked, to me inhaling the smoke is the same thing as smoking.I wish I had seen your face when he was stammering chai! Amy I really missed"laura started
" You see why I didn't want to tell you about this, you always find a way to taunt me "
I umm, I uh, I, I, I can't help it"she replied laughing "why do you have soap all over your face, you come resemble white witch"
" Ada screamed and I don't even know why she did, I had to come out to check on her"
Ada walked to me and grabbed the phone from my hand, took it closer to the purse and showed laura something.
The next thing I heard was "obara Jesus!!" blood of jesus
What was even going on? Was there something evil in my purse, did David leave a human finger there, things like that always happen in horror movies.
When ada handed the phone back to me, she had her mouth opened and eyes wide open
"You two are scaring me, o gini zi what happened? "
