I didn't not know what to do, should I've asked him what was wrong, kept my mouth shot or demanded him to spit out why the hell he went nuts about whatever it was Harrold had told him.

'Bones?'

He turned his head towards me, eyes like fire, his mouth pressed in a thin line.

'You scare me.' I admitted, not knowing what else I had to say. He did not actually scare me, I think he could do nothing to scare me, but I had to admit it was quite concerning the way he reacted.

His eyes softened, his face fell. 'I'm so sorry.' He shook his head. 'I... I'm so sorry for this.'

And all of the sudden the movie started playing again. It was weird seeing those images without the audio, although it was way less scary than it was before. I lowered my gaze to the phone in his hand.

'Wait... let me turn on the audio...'

'No!' I placed my hand on his arm, preventing him from opening the app. His eyes shot up to me, my heart beat fastened, the nerves took over my body again. 'Please don't.'

Bones lowered the phone. 'It is that scary?'

'No, I think you owe me an explanation.' I said pouring my eyes into his.

His hand ran through his hair while obviously overthinking his answer. 'Today it was my dare.'

I raised an eyebrow, indicating I needed more of an answer than that.

'My friends and I,' he pointed to the spot where Harrold had disappeared, 'we do dares. Each day one of us get a dare of the day. We need to post a selfie on Instagram before midnight. As proof we've accomplished it.' He lifted the corner of his mouth 'It's private, not all dares are meant to be seen by the public.'

I sniffed. 'Am I a dare?' The thought that this date was nothing more than him accomplishing a stupid challenge made me beyond angry. It made me furious.

'What? No! Shit. You honestly believe I would do such a thing?' he grimaced.

'Well, it is not that I know you that long.' I shrugged my shoulders. 'It isn't that crazy thinking of me.' I tried to defend my question to him.

Bones started swiping his phone, shaking his head in disbelieve. 'Look.' He pointed the phone right under my nose. 'Read it.'

*Go to the church of Chapel Hill and place the clock on hour back in time*

'That's your dare?' I looked up at him, frowning. 'And you have to do that before...?'

'Midnight.' He opened the app, it was actually not the best moment, because instantly a loud scream filled the car. Reflexively, I jumped up, also screaming. As quickly as he could he lowered the sound. 'I'm sorry,' he said smothering a smile. 'That was scary.'

We bought laughed. Then a awkward moment of silence followed.

I looked at my phone. It was twenty-five minutes until midnight. 'You still have time to pull it off.' I said holding the phone.

'It's a ten-minute drive to that church.' He was rubbing his hand against his jawline. 'And I could not just leave you here and take off, now could I?'

I bit my lower lip. 'No, but I could join you.'

His head snapped towards me, his eyes narrowed. 'You want to join me?'

'I could help you.' I blurted out. Seriously? But the thought of doing something like that, probably illegal was kinda exciting. Besides that, the movie was too scary for me, so going anywhere but here was a better suggestion than staying put. I did not want to end our date, I liked being around him, even if it meant to do something illegal.

'I guess I could...' He started the car, put it in reverse and drove back, his arm resting behind my seat when looking over his shoulder. Some cars horned, some flashed their lights, but Bones did not pay any attention to them. He stopped, putting the car in the right gear. 'You're sure?' he asked me.

I nodded. 'Let's do this.' I said. It sure sounded more secure than I felt.
