i say demonstrating what to do
"what happens if i don't get up fast enough or if i float out to far"

i reassure her

i yell at kenzie through the sounds of the waves, she turns and looks over at me as she goes to stand up and immediately loses balance and falls off the board
"yep doing great" i say as i watch her come back up to the water with her hair all wet and knotted together
"you distracted me" she sadly walked out of the water and sat on the sand
"do you want to go suit shopping with me tomorrow"
i ask sitting next to her
"is hayden and william coming"
"no just you and me"
"you mean like a date"
she sarcastically yet excitedly asks
"what ever you want it to be princess"
i wrap my arm around her shoulder and kiss her forehead
"and they say they don't like each other"
lauren says to annie as they bring their boards in from the water

later that night
"i'm bored"
johnny complains as we finish up watching our fourth movie for that night

we all agree
"well what do you want to do then"
lauren asks
"play, truth or dare"
he smirks

lauren agrees
"ok i'll go first, johnny truth or dare"

he replies
"good choice, i dare you to make out with kenzie right here right now"

i say moving away from the boy

i quickly reply
"it's ok she clearly doesn't like me anyways"
johnny says putting a sad expression on his face

lauren and annie cheer

i nod at johnny to give him permission to kiss me
"haha i knew she liked me"
johnny says before pulling my face into his and kissing my lips for what felt like years

i say pulling away from the kiss

annie says
"it's kinda weird seeing my best friend and my brother kiss, but anyways"
lauren admits
"ok my turn, truth or dare kenzie"
johnny says
"ugh um, dare"
i respond
"i dare you to go skinny dipping in the ocean"
he smirks
"no, it's like 4 degrees"
i deny
"i'll go with you"
he winks at me
"your such a flirt johnny i swear to god"
i say grabbing his hand and pulling him outside to the beach
"you coming"
i start taking my clothes off before running into the ocean

he confusingly says before following me
