CHAPTER 10:
(Nash's POV)
I drove home with the biggest smile plastered to my face. I couldn't stop thinking about what happend. It didn't even seem real.
I pulled up into my driveway and cut the engine, humming a happy-go-lucky, cliche, pop song on the way inside. I threw the door open and threw my keys on the plate by the coat rack.
"HUNNY I'M HOME!" I sing-songed at the top of my lungs to Cameron.
"What the hell?" I heard him grumble from the kitchen.
I did an awkward combination of skipping and galloping down the hall, giddy with excitement and adrenaline. I trotted in so fast, I almost knocked Cam over.
"The hell is wrong with you?" he asked me as he looked at me like I had a horn growing out of my head.
"Nothing. I'm actually great right now. Better than I've been in a long time Cam!"
"And that would be because..." he waited for me to finish.
"Delaney."
"Wait, what? Literally the only thing you've talked about all weekend and the beginning of this week is how much you hate her and wish she would just disappear and stop tormenting you. What changed?" he asked as he sipped at a glass of some fruity drink.
"We kissed." Cam spit his drink out, spewing all over in different directions.
"Excuse me?"
"We kissed.. actually like a lot. I guess you could say we made up." I said nonchalantly.
"What..? I am so confused."
"I don't even know myself. One moment we were yelling insults at each other and making it seem like we were still in character, and then the next, we were saying our side of things, and then all of a sudden we were making out.. Neither of us cheated on each other Cam! It was all such a huge misunderstanding. Can you believe that?"
Cameron laughed nervously as he scratched the back of his head.
Gee, that's not suspicous at all..
"Cam.. what's up man?"
"I gotta go make some calls to my agents." he said, unsure of himself. He made a beeline for the staircase.
"What aren't you telling me?" I asked, blocking his path.
"Nothing. I'm really happy for you guys. That's, um, great."
He pushed past me and sprinted up the stairs as fast as he could. I listened as his door slammed shut behind him and his music got turned up to full volume.
What the hell? What isn't he telling me?
I grabbed a beer fromt the fridge and plopped down on the couch with it, turning on the TV in the process. A new episode of Pretty Little Liars was on.
God, how long are they going to drag on this show? It should've been done after like Season 5.
I flipped through the stations until an image a few channels back caught my eye. I flipped back to see that it was FOX news, and they were broadcasting a story about Delaney.
"Watch out Hollywood divas, this new girl is in town, and she's here to stay. Delaney Grant is not only an undeniably incredible actor, but she is also an extremely talented singer and pianist. Not to mention the fact that she's gorgeous. You might recognize her from her days of performing with Magcon, Digi Tour, and many other conventions, along side her once boyfriend Nash Grier." Stacy Knox said.
