CHAPTER 29:

(Delaney's POV)

I wake up groggily the next morning, and realize that there's a lump lying beside me; Nash. I groan, because I'm the type of girl who does not wake up flawless like Queen B. I wake up looking more like Frankenstein's bride. Long story short, I know Nash has seen me looking like a Gremlin before, but I'm not up for him embracing that ugly side of me today.

As I go to attempt to sling my feet over the bed, his arms wrap around my waist and start to drag me back down onto the sheets. I whine a little at his encasement that he has created for me, but that just makes him laugh at my misery some more.

"Nash, I need to go shower or something."

"No you don't. You need to stay with me for a few more minutes.. Or hours."

"Ha ha, very funny. But we have things to do today. This party thing is tomorrow, and I still don't have a dress. Tally and I tried to do that yesterday, and I guess I dropped the bomb on her a little too soon. We didn't actually get to buy anything." I say, sighing a bit, remembering that her and I are on terrible terms at the moment.

"Just look in that never-ending closet of yours. I'm sure you'll find something."

"Nash, you're a genius!" I say as I lean over and kiss him, disregarding both of our morning breath. "Wait, why the hell didn't I think of that before? I go in there every single day to get dressed. God, I'm stupid."

"Hey, not all of us can be as smart and charming as I am. Especially when we first wake up in the morning." he says with a snicker.

"Oh, shut up! I hate you." I pout.

"I highly doubt that baby." he says in a seductive voice. He starts to move towards me, but I shoot out of bed.

"I need to go take a shower now, seriously. Stop distracting me." I say as I roll my eyes at him.

"How about I distract you, while in the shower. It'll be like multi-tasking, ya know?" he lets a huge smirk pass across his face.

"You're hilarious Hamilton. But I think I'll do this one on my own. I'm a big girl after all." I say as I shut the door behind me, not allowing him to have any further comments.

I turn the water on cold, because I'm already burning up as it is. I'm definitely not used to the intense heat of California in the summer. I strip off all of my clothes and grab a towel and a robe off of the rack and set it on the counter beside the shower before stepping in. The coldness shocks my tired muscles at first, but I soon adjust to the feeling.

Halfway through the shower, as I'm shaving my legs, I hear the door open. I sigh loudly, slightly annoyed that Nash didn't listen to me and stay in the room like I instructed. I push open the glass door to yell at him.

"Nash, I thought I told you I-" I go to scream, but a hand covers my mouth.

"Shh, Delaney it's okay. I'm not here to hurt you. I just want to talk. Here; put this on." the male figure standing in my bathroom hands me my robe with one hand, while still holding the other over my mouth. I grab the material from his hands.

"Now, I'm going to take my hand off, but you have to promise me that you won't scream. I just want to say a few things before your little boy toy comes back. Do we have a deal?" he asks. I nod my head.

"What the hell do you want?" I ask as I quickly slip the robe over my body.

"I just came to check in with you, that's all." he says.

"While I'm in the shower? What the hell Seth! You don't contact me for weeks, and then you just so happen to show up while I'm naked in the shower. Why are you here?" I ask in a low voice.
