Chapter 3: visitors

A little while later Anakin rescued Jar Jar from Sebulba, the champion pod racer who had huge rivalry with the young boy. This act drew the attention of the Jedi Master Qui-Gon and he noticed that the boy was strong with the force, Anakin liked him immediately and offered him and his group shelter at his house from an incoming sand storm. "Mom mom I'm home, " Anakin called his mother a friendly looking  woman named Shmi Skywalker walked out of the kitchen and was surprised to see the guests her son had brought. "Oh Ani what's this? " she asked "these are my friends mom, " "I'm Qui -Gon Jinn and this is Jar Jar and Padme, " Artoo than let's out a series of beeps and whistles "and that's our droid Artoo," Padme said "I'm building a droid do you wanna see? " Anakin asked Padme before she could say anything he grabbed her hand and said "come I'll show you threepio, " Anakin leads Padme into his bedroom and shows off his Android that is lying on a work bench it was missing an eye and no outer cuttings but it still amazed Padme that Anakin had built him himself. "Isn't he great, he's not finished yet, " "he's wonderful, " she said smiling "you really like him? He's a protocol droid I created him to help mom. " Anakin pushes a button and the droid turned on "hello I am c-3po human cyborg relationship,  how may I serve you? " "he's perfect, " Padme said "when the strom is over,  you can see my racer I'm building my own pod racer. " Anakin said excitedly "I'd like that, " she said "are you going to ask her for a kiss to? " Vader asked "be quiet you, " Anakin said "who are you talking to Anakin? " Padme asked clearly confused as to why he seemed to be talking with someone but it was definitely not her. "Oh um no one, " he lied "well okay, " she said giving him a look that said I don't believe you. "Really I was just talking to myself I do that sometimes, " Anakin said trying his best to ignore the snickers of Vader inside his head "oh I do that all the time Anakin its nothing to be embarrassed about, " Padme said giving him a kind smile. "Ani its time for dinner, " his mother called "coming, " he said "come on my mom makes the best food, " Anakin said pulling on her hand once again. Later Anakin, Padme, Shmi, Jar Jar and Qui-Gon were seated around a makeshift table while the wind blows outside. "All slaves have transmitters placed inside their bodies somewhere." Shmi said giving everyone a sad look " I've been working on a scanner to try and locate them, but no
luck. " Anakin said tapping his fingers on the table, Padme was horrified at this "I can't believe there's still slavery in the galaxy, the Republic anti slavery laws.. " Shmi cut her off and said "the Republic doesn't exist out here we must survive in our way. " Anakin tried to lighten the mood by asking "has anyone ever seen a podraces? " Padme shock her head no "they have podraces on on Malastare. Very fast, very dangerous. " Qui-Gon said "I'm the only human that can do it, " Anakin claimed "you must have Jedi reflexs if you race pods, " "your a Jedi knight aren't you? " Anakin asked "what's makes you think that? " Qui-Gon asked "I saw your laser sword only Jedi carry that kind off weapon, " Anakin said "perhaps I killed a Jedi and took it from him, " Qui-Gon joked "I don't think so no one can kill a Jedi, " Anakin said "I wish that were true, " Qui-Gon said recalling the many times he had seen Jedi die.
