7:00 AM

Once again, the blare of the speaker rang in Blaster's ears. Blaster truly hated 7 AM. He only falls asleep at 5 AM, so he only gets two hours of sleep everyday. What's worse is that the sound is annoying. It didn't feel like an announcement, it seemed like it was Blaster's alarm.

Blaster got up and made his bed. Badjao was shuffling his deck of cards, while Zild was staring at him. Again. But there was something different in his look. Something that made him feel...uncomfortable.

"Cut the sh*t out, Benitez," Blaster said, throwing a glare at Zild. Zild kept on staring, which made Blaster annoyed.

"Zild, tama na--"

"Are you gay?" Zild said suddenly.

Blaster was taken aback by Zild's question that appeared out of nowhere.

"Ikaw ata 'yung bakla, Zild. Tinititigan mo lang si Blaster eh, kanina ka pa," Badjao said, laughing.

Zild rolled his eyes, and stared at Badjao with a long face. "Loko ka. You know I hate him."

Badjao made a doubting face at Zild while smiling. "Weh? Bagay kaya kayo ayieeeeee"

Zild threw a rock at Badj, who dodged it skillfully.

"Ha! Missed--g*go ang sakit nun Zild! Dumudugo!"

Zild rolled his eyes and handed Badjao a towel. "Sorry na. Skillfully ka diyan."

While Blaster was watching this scene unfold, many questions popped out in Blaster's head.

Why did Zild ask that?

Do I like girls?

Bakla ba talaga ako?

Siraulo lang ata si Zild.

"Batukan kita diyan eh, siraulo ka din." Zild shouted across the room.

Before Blaster could reply, Dr. Gelo entered the room. "Hey guys," he greeted them happily. "Kain na tayo--bakit dumudugo ang labi ni Badj--ZILD!!!"

Zild held up a peace sign, and then all four went downstairs to eat breakfast.

8:00 AM

"No one's perfect, and no one's a hero," Zild said.

Here it is, Zild's morning sermon. It's been a month since Blaster's first arrival at the mental hospital, and Blaster was never spared from Zild's useless talking.

"...and there we are. Blaster Silonga everybody!"

Blaster looked up suddenly, clueless of what was happening. "Huh?" he said.

Zild smirked at Badjao. "Told 'ya," he said. Blaster just scoffed and continued eating.

Zild said some more words to Blaster, but Blaster had more things in mind. He didn't see the darkness visions as frequently as before, but this time he had other visions. This time, it didn't seem like the future. They were like flashbacks. Memories, but not owned by him. Or dreams? Blaster didn't know. Imaginations, perhaps? Maybe Zild was correct. The darkness is near, and they were messing with their powers. It wasn't only irritating, but frustrating as well.

SNAP.

"Tay!!! Ang ganda ng gitara ko! Thank you po!" a voice said. There was a teenage boy standing before a man, both faces blurred.

"Meet your new band members," the man said, smiling. Three figures emerged from the shadows. Once they stepped into the light, he saw...

"--SILONGA?"
