Kentrell constantly argued that he didn't wanna go to his mother's house today but I ended up making him come. I was beyond serious about Kemoni having both sides of her family because something like that is important to me.
Kentrell huffed as he put the car in park and I looked at him
"Kentrell. Why you gotta attitude?"
"Why you drug me to this lady house?"
"You know why. Now you gone have to suck it up cause we here now" I fussed as I snatched the keys out of his hand and got out the car "COME ON!"
He muttered something under his breath and got out the car as well.
"I swear you more stressful than this baby" I told him as I rubbed my belly while he walked ahead of me to the door. Kentrell banged on the door 3 times and I rolled my eyes, looking at my nails and noticed the polish on one of my nails was chipped
"I gotta go get this done ASAP"
"The hell is that banging on my goddamn door like that" I could hear sherhonda fuss as she unlocked it and it swung open. Her face went from furious to surprised once she saw Kentrell and I standing there
"What made you come over here?" She asked Kentrell and he pointed at me so I slapped him upside the head. Sherhonda looked at me then her eyes went straight to my belly just like everybody else
"Oh hell. Y'all having a baby?"
"No shit Sherlock" Kentrell rudely responded back and sherhonda glared at him
"I don't like you"
"Who having a baby?" Kendell asked as he walked up to the door beside sherhonda. He looked at me and smiled "oh shit! You finally nutted in that thing"
"Boy-" sherhonda slapped Kendell's arm and he laughed then she let us in. Of course the first place Kentrell went was the kitchen
"I betcho lazy ass ain even cook" he told her and she smacked her lips
"Not for you" she responded then looked at me "Noel you pregnant and ain't nobody told me"
"I thought Kentrell would've told you"
"I only told the people that matters" he butted in while fixing him something to drink and sherhonda ran her tongue across her teeth
"Kentrell..."
He looked at her while drinking out of the cup then sat it down "sherhonda..."
Kendell just laughed and threw his arm on my shoulder "now why you got them two in the same house together"
"Cause they need to work their issues out. At least for the sake of our daughter"
"Daughter!?" Sherhonda asked out loud and looked at me. I nodded
"We having a girl at the beginning of July"
"That's Whatchu Get for playing girls all yo life. Now you gotta lil girl. That's karma for you" Kendell told Kentrell while he shook his head
"Kendell shut up" I told him while I slapped his arm off of me and sherhonda walked over to me to touch my stomach
"How far along you is?"
"She just said she was due at the beginning of July. Do the math" Kentrell sarcastically responded before I could say anything
"Kentrell. Ima beatcho ass boy"
"You ain gone do shit sherhonda"
I facepalmed myself and sighed
"Y'all..."
"They ain't gone ever get along so ion know why you even trying" kendell told me and Kentrell agreed with him
"I told you, you just wasting yo time"
"Cause Kentrell disrespectful as hell" sherhonda started while she went over to the fridge and Kentrell smacked his lips
"And you always on my dick. That's why I moved out"
"It been was time for you to get out my house. I been tryina getchu out since yo sorry ass dropped outta school. Ain't did shit but lay up in the bed until it was time for them boys to get outta school"
"And here you go. Always ready to point out the negative shit"
"What else is there for me to point out Kentrell?" She asked while putting her hands on her hips, making me instantly regret coming over here "you don't do shit, you stay in and outta jail, Noel is the most stable girlfriend you ever had and all you doing is holding her back from doing a lot better than she can do"
"Sherhonda-"
"No Noel, I'm just saying" she cut me off "Explain to me what exactly can he do for you. He got you living with him and he ain't got no job, and now you pregnant?"
"How else you think we living? Kentrell is the one paying all the bills and making the money, don't discredit your son sherhonda. He does a lot more than you think" I defended Kentrell while he glared at her, his jaws locked
"See, that's where you fucked up at. I make sure my family straight and ain't shit gone change bout that. And as far as my daughter, all you need to know is she ain't gone want for a damn thing and that's on my life. When she get here, ion wantchu nowhere near my child. Come on Noel" he fussed before walking out of the kitchen and I shook my head at sherhonda who just stood there
"I can still come see her right?" Kendell asked me and I nodded
"Of course you can kendell" I responded before looking at sherhonda one more time and exited the kitchen.
I exited the house behind Kentrell and when we got in the car, I looked at him. He just silently started the car and pulled off. I had a feeling he was probably mad at me for even bringing him over to his momma's house but I just wanted Kemoni to have both sides of her family in her life, something I never got to have after my parents divorce. Instead of even trying to press him to talk I just looked out the window and rested my hand on my belly, feeling Kemoni start to kick
Once we finally reached the house, we got out and I followed Kentrell into the house. While he went straight through the kitchen to the backyard, I decided to take a shower and go ahead to lay down. After I was done with my shower, I changed into a tank top with some shorts and walked into the room to see Kentrell sitting on the side of the bed. He looked up at me and grabbed my hand while standing up
"I'm sorry about that. Kentrell I just wanted our baby to have both sides of her family an-"
"Whatchu apologizing for? I get Whatchu was tryina do. It ain't yo fault. She was just on some fuck shit and ion want that around my baby. Fuck that"
I sighed and nodded "I don't blame you. She was dead wrong. I just feel bad"
"Noel" he chuckled and pulled me close to him "Don't feel bad. We straight and Kemoni straight, Ight?"
"Okay" I replied while kissing him
