When I answered the phone, Jaehee's voice was as calm and soothing as ever.
     "J-Jaehee? What's up?"
"Hello (A/N). I saw that I had a few missed calls from Mr.Han when I turned my phone back on and attempted to reach him again. But he isn't answering. Would you be so kind as to tell him to call me?" I hadn't noticed as the action was happening, but Jumin had gotten into my personal space to eavesdrop on my phone call. I couldn't do anything about it, so I just let him be.
     "He's, uh, right here...actually."
Jumin took the phone from me just as I heard Jaehee's voice exclaim her relief to hear that. I looked at him with my mouth open in shock, and my hand still cupped to my ear.
Jumin looked at me with a risen brow, causing something in my stomach to squeeze up to my throat. I hadn't a clue that such a look from the silver spoon would shut me up. Mr. Han listened to Jaehee over the phone, then nodded and mumbled a noise portraying he understood. He traded but a couple of words with her, and the best thing I could do to pass the time was to continue working. When I noticed my laptop open in front of me, I felt relieved in a way.
Jaehee was now in my reach to contact, so I could just ask her about the essays now. This is perfect! I reached over my desk to grab my laptop when suddenly a large hand came around and picked it up before my fingers could even graze it.
I looked at Jumin, and he looked at me sternly with one hand holding my laptop and the other, my phone. I sighed and pointed to the phone and then my laptop.

Jaehee can look at it now, I thought while moving my hands. Jumin's eyes narrowed at me, bring up the fear in me once again. I swallowed hard and sat back in my seat, completely under his thumb like the animal he's training me to be.

"Assistant (A/N)," Jumin suddenly said. I sat up straight and looked up at my boss in the face. He waited as if expecting me to answer for him. How odd. "Well?" He said. I looked behind me and no one was there, so he was definitely looking at me. Inquisitively my shoulders raised.

     "I... Uh-"

"When I call you, you answer me." He said. "Are we clear, Assistant (A/N)?"

I felt pure fear shiver down my spine, Mr. Han's words were all he needed to strike fear in me and put me in my place as his pet. I cleared my throat and nodded, "I understand, Mr. Han-"

"Great," The son of a bitch cut me off! "Miss. Kang will be returning quite earlier than I presumed and she has a couple more people attending our party. You are to complete your task early and then create a list of where to purchase the finest catering assistance in highest to lowest price, as well as a copy of the list of attendees going to the RFA party on my desk by tonight." Wha- by tonight? I looked at the clock and felt a sigh escape my lungs in disappointment. "Is there something you wish to say?" Jumin suddenly said coldly, making me jump.

"It's nothing, Mr. Han. I'll get on it right away." Is it even legal to keep a live-in employee? And if it is, please tell me it's illegal to keep me working overtime for at least another four hours... T~T This is going to take forever, I probably won't even have time for dinner tonight.

I stood up and quickly gathered the stamped shut invitations, then rushed to the other small desk in my office that had a basket specifically for the invitations. Neatly, I placed them in and then rushed back to my work laptop to begin my long research. Why the hell do I need to do this now? The party isn't for a while... I glanced over my shoulder at Jumin, who was leaning against the filing cabinet behind me, a hand in his pocket as he talked on the phone while watching me like a king from above. That sadistic bastard must love slaving me to the ground.

"Yes," Jumin said. "Yes, he's finished the invitations quite early... How early or late do you reckon we send them out?" Jumin talked professionally on the phone with Jaehee, as usual––though for some reason, this "professional chit-chat" was beginning to get on my nerves. I mean, does he necessarily need to stand behind me while talking? And do they need to chat for this long? Well, I guess they do... I can't freaking focus, damn it.
