Piper and Nico were never really friends.
They became friends when they found out each other was in the TFIOS fandom.
They watched the movie and cryed and fangirled( boy; for Nico) over TFIOS.
No one new about it. They just decided to keep it a secret.
No one knew until Piper said "Okay?" to Nico and he said "Okay" back and they both started crying.
Everyone knew after that.
