"I wanted to tell him. Finally tell him how I actually feel, but all night he was talking with his friends at Marvel, and I... I just didn't fit in. So, I left and I haven't heard from him since." Ben explained.
Martin Freeman was sitting with Ben at their chairs on the set of Sherlock. They were currently filming the final episode of season three, titled His Last Vow. The two "grown men" sat in Martin's makeup trailer talking over the night before.
"Well, that makes it your own fault." Martin laughed. When he saw Ben's face in complete seriousness, he immediately stopped. "Okay, I'm sorry. Ben, the problem is you're afraid to confront your feelings. What I'm getting from this is the typical high school crush. You'll talk to him and fantasize over him, but you can't muster the courage to ask him out. If you want Tom to be your bae you got to go for him."
Ben pondered that for a while. "Martin, what the hell is a bae?"
Martin just laughed.
That's when Ben's phone rang. Tom had texted him: "Ben I have something to tell you. Call when youve got the chance"
He called immediately.
