I wake up groaning, it felt like someone was pounding my head with a big fat book. I limp out of the bed and into the bathroom with a hiss as a stinging pain shoots through my hips.
I tug at the waistband of my sweatpants, making sure the cloth doesn't rub on my skin, the skin had turned darkish purple. I don't try touching the skin because I know it would burn.
I wash off my body with the water that's in the bucket, careful not to let the water touch my hips.
Walking over to my closet which is most definitely older than me, I pick out a mustard coloured hoodie that belonged to Kyle and throw it on with some dark blue sweatpants that definitely don't match.
As I close the door of the closet, I look into the mirror without meaning to, there are huge eye bags under my eyes, my lips look chapped and dry; like I haven't drunk water in days. I stare at the make-up lying on the desk by the side that I also use as a vanity table.
Should I use some concealer? Maybe some lip balm as well-
I roll my eyes and grab my bag from my bed.
As if it would make a difference.
I open the door stealthily and peak out, the path is empty.
Safe.
I mentally pat myself on the back for waking up early.
Crash!
Welp looks like I spoke too soon. Cringing I turn around to see my dad about twelve feet away from me. My eyes widen with horror and I stay rooted to the spot without moving.
ARIA, MOVE!
walk away. you know you can do it. just do it, please.
please please walk away.
aria he's coming closer omg WALK AWAY!
And I do. I turn around willing myself to run as fast as I can but I'm too late I realize as dad's fingers wrap around my hair and pull me towards him. Something moves in the pit of my stomach it felt like frogs were jumping around having a party inside my tummy. I had started sweating somewhere in the last five minutes, I was feeling cold and hot all at the same time, my fingers felt shaky and numb. I close my eyes and I open them only to realize that I was gasping for breaths.
shit. shit. shit. I can't have an anxiety attack! not now.
I scream as my dad tightens his hold on my hair.
"Let me go!" I cry out as I try to release myself from his hold, I claw on his fingers that's still holding my hair with my nails. I can't see him but I know this is only getting him madder. I know I'm getting myself into more trouble but I still do it because I'm a stupid hoe.
If anything, his hold on my tightens and he pulls me back all the way and I stumble surprised, then he pushes me too fast that I don't expect it. My head hits the wall and I head the sharp crack of my glasses. I face the wall for two seconds, contemplating if I should turn around and try to run away now that he's let go of my hair. I pretend collapse onto the floor and play dead so he'll go away. I know he'll only further hurt me if I try to run away. Been there too many times. I close my eyes, but I don't have to pretend for long before I loose consciousness.
