A fragile little boy shielding himself
As a man in battle
And as much as it sucks to be on the end where my ex boyfriend was
I now understand how he felt
Must've been hard to convince your gold you'll treasure them
If they were to open up their chest
Let you in the place that's sacred
You plead with them to let you have and to hold
Their scared
They can't bare giving you
All of them
They can't let you get too close to them
And I should be offended
Except it's understandable
But it hurts to see them wrap their heart in a blanket and block it from you
Because even though you mean the most to them
They can't give you whole price
You'll get half off
Backwards right?
But that's how a broken person works
I'm scared to hold your baby
Hearing it's heart beat
I'm scared
I don't wanna repeat what the other girls and individuals in your life have done
I go rigid in fear
Because I remember how it felt
Wanting to save a piece of myself on case it rained heavily
And we couldn't weather
