One and Only

Chapter 6: Yongsun

I never realized how many guys have liked my sister until now. I was sitting at Jeins kitchen table while she was telling me what happened with Soohoon and Hanyu. I never realized how many boys would stop and stare or continuously flirt with her. I shake my head as she tells me about what he whispered in her ear.
"I didn't take him as the type. Gotta admit that fight between him and Zihaos gonna be funny when he finds out" I laugh.
"Its not funny. This is pretty serious. If Hanyu has a crush on Soohoon, you have a crush on Mingrui, and Soohoon has a crush on Zeyu that might start--"
"Woah woah, slow down. Soohoon has a crush on ZEYU?!" I exclaim, sitting up straight.
"She didn't tell you that?" She asks, sitting down next to me after cleaning a few dishes.
"I'm surprised she told you that. That girls a mess and can never figure out if she likes a guy or not" I sigh.
"She said she doesn't know if its a crush, but with how flustered she was it probably is" She explains.
"Damn...that fast? I'm surprised" I smirk, sitting back in my seat.
"I think that's kinda sad she likes my brother. Hanyu seems so much better" Jein frowns.
"Dude he's your brother, what's wrong with you?" I giggle.
"Yea but hes so reserved. He hasnt liked a girl in years. Also no offense to him but he's never had a girlfriend. I don't know if she'll get treated right" Jein sighs.
"Why do you care so much? You just met her" I ask.
"I'm not good with people. I've been all over the place, and she's been the first to actually be nice to me. She deserves to be treated right and I don't know if Zeyu can give her what she wants" She explains.
"That's rough...I'm sorry. I wouldn't worry about it. Soohoon hasnt had a boyfriend either. If they do get together--"
"Which they probably will" she cuts me off and I smile slightly before finishing,
"They'll figure it out together"
"I can practically guarantee you he'll like her once he gets to know her" Jein rolls her eyes, "he just seems too stubborn to want to get to know her"
"Its fine Je, not a big deal for now. We'll worry about getting them together later. Right now we have to deal with Hanyu" I sigh, crossing my arms over my chest.
"What about you? And Mingrui I mean" she smirks.
"Right now it's about as much as you and Xinlong" I smile and she gasps at me. I laugh and get up. I flick her in the head and say,
"C'mon. Let's go prepare her for a date with Zeyu."

Zeyu's POV

Hanyu came into my room unexpected. He didnt knock like he usually does. He just walked in and floped on my bed, looking at the ceiling. He only does this when somethings bugging him. So I put my laptop aside and crawled next to him.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"I think I did something stupid" He says, putting his hands over his face.
"What?" I ask again.
"I almost kissed Soohoon but then told her I'd wait until she's mine..." He stammered.
"That's.....not that bad" I reassure him. He takes his hands off his face and sits up.
"Really?" He laughs, "That's HORRIBLE"
"It could be worse" I Consoled.
"It doesn't matter, it's already bad! She's gonna think I'm a total asshat now and be super uncomfortable around me!" He babbled.
"Hanyu, what's the big deal? You've just met her, you can't like her that much" I insisted, but he just shakes his head.
"At first I just thought she was pretty. But you HAVE to talk to her to understand. You have to have a full conversation with her, the way she explains her thoughts is just....wow" he gushed, falling back on the bed again.
"You like her this much by going out with her once?" I ask, raising my eyebrows.
"You don't understand" he claims, shaking his head slightly.
"yea...I don't I guess" I mumbled.
"Can you help me? You don't like her too right?" he asks. I stop...thinking of what Jein asked me. I know the girls scared but...having me pretend to like her is too much. Hanyu seems so apologetic....should I....play along?
"Uhm....honestly?" I ask.
"100% honesty" he pushes.
"I..." I sigh and pause for a minute, "I don't know. I think....I like her."
"Wait....I didn't....you...really?" Hanyu asks, sitting up.
"Uh...is it that hard to believe?" I narrow my eyes.
"You just....never like girls...." He whispers.
"What?" I ask.
"Its just...really fortunate the one girl you have interest in...I like too" he laughs slightly, and I look down. I didn't want to lie to him...but Jein seemed desperate for this. Soohoon must be a good person if both Jein and Hanyu fell for her so fast...so I'll protect her.
"I'm sorry...I-i can back off if you want" I suggest, trying to keep my act up and believable.
"Yeah. You probably should" he says sternly. I shoot my gaze up to him,
"Wait...what?"
"Zihao wouldnt like you being with her" He shrugs.
"He wouldn't like you being with her either" I narrow my eyes at him again.
"The difference is im willing to take the risk" he snickered.
"What makes you think I'm not?" I hissed.
"Zeyu, what are you talking about? Everyone knows girls aren't your thing. You haven't had a full conversation with her. There's no way you'd want to take the risk" He chuckles.
"...you've had one date with her...and you think you're in love now?" I jabbed.
"What?" He asks.
"I said I like her. I'm willing to take the risk too" I glowered.
"...Then you better back off for me" he threatened.
"Really? Out of all the girls you've told me you'd back off them if I liked them....you choose her to protect?" I hissed.
"Yes. She's different"
"I'm not backing off of her"
"...okay. Fine. Let's see where this goes then little brother" is the last thing he said...before he turned and slammed the door on his way out. Why did I get so defensive over it? I don't even like her...now I've just caused trouble.
God I hope Hanyu doesn't do anything stupid...
