Fair warning this is slightly short.

To say Peter was excited for his first ever mission with the Avengers was an understatement. He had been trying to convince Tony to let him go for the past month. And now was the time.

The totally-not father/son duo were waiting for the rest of the avengers to meet them outside of the compound. They were waiting to board the Quinjet with the the rest of the Avengers.

Peter seemed to be vibrating with excitement and Tony would not be surprised if he started to bounce off the walls.

"Okay Peter, five minutes until we're supposed to take off."

"I'm so excited Mr. Stark! I'll get to see the Avengers in action!"

"But, you've seen me in a fight before kid."

It was silent for a few moments as Tony stared at Peter, who was trying his hardest to ignore him.

"We'll talk about this later. Is the equipment secure?"

"Yep. Well, I think. I mean, you know those weird straps. Like how do those buckles even work?"

Tony gave a small sigh, "I'll get Steve to check them when he gets here. Is your web fluid loaded?"

    "Check."

"It's the upgraded version we made in the lab?"

    "Affirmative, Mr. Stark."

"You have your backpack? With your text books?"

    "Check."

     "New Stark Phone?"

Peter dug around in his bag and pulled out his phone to show Mr.Stark, "And with all new music downloaded too."

     "Did you eat breakfast?"

"What? That's not on the checklist."

"I added it because I care about you."

"I'm flattered Mr. Stark. But no I didn't eat breakfast."

"Unacceptable. Look in your backpack." Tony said with one of his famous disappointed dad looks.

Peter began to dig around in his backpack once again. In the front pocket he found a whole box of breakfast bars and another box of fruit gushers.

"Hey! There's chocolate chips in these breakfast bars!"

"Yeah, I'm not an idiot. I know how to trick my kid into eating his fiber. By the way, there's gummy bears in the second pocket."

Immediately Peter went to dive into the second pocket but Tony stopped him, "Not until you eat your breakfast Peter."

A huff in annoyance was the only answer Tony got from Peter, but he ate his breakfast anyway.

The Avengers soon joined them and the Quinjet soon took off. Tony was engrossed in his Starkpad and paying no attention the rest of his team. In fact, Steve had tried to start a conversation with him about the plan but was ignored.

Peter was digging through his bag, yet again. But couldn't seem to find what he was looking for.

"Mr. Stark? Do you know if I brought my headphones?"

"Side pocket." Tony dug out a small notebook, totally not to add headphones to his mission checklist.

"Coolio, thanks I just wanted to watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine."

Eventually, no one really knows how it happened, Tony ended up sitting right next to Peter. Both were wearing one headphone each. Slight laughs came out of each of them and the other Avengers gazed at them with small smiles.

On the way home, they ended up in the same position and watching TV together on the Quinjet became a common occurrence.
