We are sitting under the tree.

Zabdiel is leaning against the tree. His arms wraps around me while I lean against him.

We talk about our future and how many kids are we going to adopt.

We are happy. We're so happy.

He rests his chin on my shoulder and our hug tightens.

"I Love You" Zabdiel smile.

"I Love You" I smile back.

But then I wake up...

I wish I didn't wake up.

Why do I have to wake up when dreams are so much better than the real world??

There's a knock on my door.

And Dad tries to smile as he enters the room.

I cry as he sits on the edge of my bed.

"Hey shh... He'll be back someday" Dad smile.

"we didn't even talk" I cry.

"Son... Everything happens for a reason" He smile.

I nod as sit up and wipe my tears.

"are you ready for the trial today??" He asks.

I nod and smile.

"okay! We're gonna win this I promise" He smile.

"you will. You're a badass dad" I smile.

"thank you. See you downstairs" He smile.

I take a shower, brush my teeth and change my clothes.

I open my locker and find my favorite rainbow jacket.

But instead I take the grey one and wear it.

Now I'm ready.

~~~•~~~•~~~•~~~•~~~•~~~•~~~•~~~•~~~
I take a deep breath and walk inside the courtroom.
I'm nervous.
What if we lose??
Because that's what I am a loser.
But the thing is. I believe in my dad.
My dad and I find our seat and the trial begins.
I look left and see my mom. She's with his boyfriend. And I've never seen her so happy and so supportive.
My dad smile as he waves at them.
And it's the first time I've seen my dad so confident.
"we're gonna win this case" Dad smile at me.
They start the debate.
And I can't even hear anything. All I can hear is the beating of my heart.
Quintin is on the other side of the court.
I look at him and I did something I never thought I'd do.
I grin at him.
The judge makes the final decision and everyone on my side jumps.
"we won!!" Dad smile as he hugs me.
"what??!!" I stare at my dad in great shock.
So apparently Quintin will be serving five months in juvie.
The trial is over and everyone starts walking out of the courtroom.
Suddenly my phone vibrates so I walk towards the restroom and answer my phone.
