Chapter 46

A few months later doctor Ellie returned to find out the sex of the baby Chris and I were in our room with Doctor Ellie. I laid down on the bed and let her examine me Chris stayed beside my side the whole time. He teared up when he heard the baby's heartbeat, I looked at Chris and smiled I held his hand. 

"Mr. and Mrs. Manson are you ready to find out what you're having?" 

"Yes," 

"You're having a little girl, she sounds healthy, and you'll be due the middle of October." Doctor Ellie said. 

"Thank you, Doctor Ellie." I replied. 

After the doctor left Chris sat beside me on the bed and held my hand, I kissed him we couldn't stop smiling about having a little girl. 

"Do you feel up to going baby shopping?" 

"Yes," 

I put on my black Converse I got up off the bed and grabbed my purse we left the bedroom and walked downstairs Chris and I put on our jackets and left the house we climbed into Chris's car he put the key in the ignition and started the engine he drove away. When we arrived at Target Chris turned into the parking lot, he parked the car and killed the engine Chris and I climbed out of the car we walked inside Target I grabbed a shopping cart. We went to the baby aisle Chris, and I picked out a crib, car seats, stroller, highchair, bottles, rocking chair, and pacifiers we took the cart to the check outline after Chris, and I were finished paying for our items we left the store and pushed the cart out to the car. 

"Babe would you like some help?" I asked. 

"No thank you, baby I'm fine go get in the car." Chris said. 

I climbed inside the car and waited for Chris, he climbed inside the car I leaned over and kissed his cheek Chris put the key in the ignition and started the engine he backed out of the parking spot and drove out of the parking lot. When we arrived home Chris parked in front of my hearse and killed the engine, I grabbed my purse and climbed out of the car I walked up the front steps I opened the storm door I unlocked the inside door and walked inside the house I took off my jacket and hung it up. When Chris was finished unloading the car, I closed the inside door and locked it I walked into the kitchen and started dinner I set the table I heard Chris coming down the stairs. 

"Baby where are you?" 

"I'm in the kitchen," 

Chris came into the kitchen and helped me with dinner he gave me a kiss I looked up at him and blushed. 

"I put the crib in our room along with the rocking chair I also put the car seats in both our cars." Chris explained. 

After dinner Chris and I went shopping online for baby clothes, blankets, and diaper bag that matched our style when we were finished shopping online, I logged out of the website and shutdown my laptop Chris and I headed for the bathroom. Later on, that night Chris and I were snuggling in bed I reached over and turned off the lamp I felt the baby kick I grabbed Chris's hand and placed it on my stomach the baby kicked his hand Chris leaned down and kissed my stomach we went to sleep.
