The next morning after breakfast Chris and I were sitting at the kitchen table mailing out wedding invitations while listening to music on my phone.

"I wish I would have eloped with you instead."

"Why?"

"My parents can't understand why I fell in love with a mortal instead of a vampire." Chris said putting a stamp on the envelope.

"Why did you fall in love with me?" I asked curiously.

"I fell in love with you because you're what I look for in a woman your down to earth, independent, caring, kind, and loving."

When we were finished writing out the wedding invitations Chris offered to put the invitations in the mailbox, I was sitting on the couch reading when Chris came into the house, he joined me on the couch and kissed my cheek.

"My parents invited us over for dinner." Chris said.

"Shouldn't we invite your parents, Juliet, and Lucy over for dinner?" I asked.

"No because they are to be stuck up to leave their posh neighborhood to have dinner with us."

"Let me guess your parents think everyone that lives in the city are bad people?"

"Yes, and that's why my parents bought us a house because they don't want us to raise our children in the city,"

"I've lived in the city my whole life and I don't want to move I am so sick of people stereotyping people that live in the city." I said looking up from my book.

I went back to reading my book Chris kissed my cheek and left the living room I put my book marker inside my book I closed the book and sat it on the couch I got up off the couch and left the living room I walked into the kitchen.

"Babe what are you doing?"

"Heating up a mug of blood."

I walked over to Chris and kissed his cheek I wrapped my arms around his waist he leaned down and kissed me.

"If you don't want to have dinner with your parents we don't have to go." I suggested.

"My mother is not going to let me get out of a family dinner I tried it before she pitched a fit." Chris said in a matter-of-fact tone.

I left the kitchen I walked upstairs to mine and Chris's room I grabbed my faux leather Jack Skellington motto jacket out of the closet and grabbed my Nightmare Before Christmas purse I walked back downstairs I walked into the living room I sat down on the couch Chris came into the living room he joined me on the couch.

"Baby would you like to drive?"

"I don't mind,"

Chris and I put on our jackets I grabbed my purse and book we left the house and climbed inside my hearse I put the key in the ignition and started the engine I turned on the heat and drove away Chris put on a CD we were listening to Black Veil Brides.

"Babe since it's Friday would you like to have Juliet and Lucy spend the week-end with us?" I asked stopping at a red light.

"I don't mind it will give them a break from my mother." Chris said turning the volume up a little.

"I can't believe that your parents never came to see your band when you guys were playing downtown at the Baltimore Soundstage."

"I'm used to it my parents never came to any of my performances when I would perform every year in my school's talent show they didn't show up to any of Lucy or Juliet's school plays I always showed up to support them."
