You lay in the hospital bed, gripping your best friend, Ashton’s, hand.

“So Ms. Y/L/N, the cancer has taken over now 60% of your body. We can do surgery for you but it’s very expensive and very risky. You could possible die,” your doctor tells you with a sad look on her face.

“I’ll pay for your surgery,” Ashton offers.

You laugh, turning to him with a soft smile. “It’s okay, Ashton.”

“What do you mean?” His sad look drops even more.

“If I have to go I have to go,” you say gently.

“You can’t leave me, Y/N. You can’t die on me,” he brings your connected hands up and places a kiss on yours. “If you ever died I’d question going on without you.”

“You have to go on, Ashton. Travel through this space we call life.”

Luke:

Your Life Over Mine

“You’re a mess!” You shout to your husband of two years, Luke.

Tears flow down your face as you take two steps back.

Luke looks at you with a sorrow expression.

“I don’t mean to be, Y/N. Here, look at where we’ve been through time, alright?”

You take a deep breath and don’t seem to notice him walking towards you until his forehead meets yours and his arms around your waist.

“I’ll always value your life over mine,” he whispers to you.

Michael:

You were in a careless relationship with Michael, which was only supposed to last a week or two.

But as you were laying on a blanket on the top of the hotel Michael was staying at, watching the night sky it hit you.

“This is serious, isn’t it?” You ask him quietly.

“What?” He glances over at you.

“This relationship.”

“I hope,” he gives you a smile.

“Yeah. I’m finally tired of being alone,” you look back over at him and return a smile.

He laughs, pulling you closer to him. “I’m sure you’ll get serenaded a lot, girlfriend.”

Calum:

Everything

You stand at the top of the bridge, looking down at the police officers and landing target below.

They wanted to save you.

Your favorite band, 5 Seconds of Summer, did save you for a little while.

Especially your favorite, Calum.

He made you happy.

He was your everything.

Until the demons came back.

You take a deep breath.

And take a step off of the bridge.
