Opening his eyes again, Connor nodded towards us, quickly moving forward. I shrugged my shoulders as Hank questioningly flashed me a look. We trailed behind Connor, who seemed extremely tense, making me worry. How much more time did we have?

The android stopped once he entered a blue room and stared at the glass right next to him. I walked up to a black-haired female and pressed my hand against the wall. As soon as the glass slid to the side, Connor grabbed the woman's limb. Shortly afterwards, he turned around and headed for an unoccupied room.

"What the hell..?" Hank mumbled, as I also tilted my head. Did she really disappear into there? Connor quickly opened it and before either Hank or I could stop him, he stood inside the room.

Barely a moment later, he left again, a disappointed expression covering his face. Taking a look around, he surely debated which android to connect to next.

"How about the janitor?" I pointed towards a man, who was sweeping the floor. Connor nodded, approached the man and touched his shoulder.

"I know where it went! Follow me!" My partner twirled around and neared a private staff entrance.

"Fucking-A. This is crazy..." Hank blurted out.

As soon as we entered the narrow hallway behind the door, Hank called out to Connor and me, who were in front of him. "Wait! I'll take it from here."

We both stepped back, letting the lieutenant take the lead. While he drew his gun, I did the same. Carefully, Hank opened the door and entered a warehouse. With his weapon in front of him, the grey-haired man walked down a few stairs, scanning the area. I quietly followed him, walking to the right side and therefore into the opposite direction Hank was heading for.

"Shit... We're too late..." He loudly exclaimed and then ran off towards an opened exit. I widened my eyes, my gaze following him. Not ready to give up, I conscientiously inspected a few turned off androids standing next to me.

"Christ, look at them... They get used till they break, then they get tossed out..." I heard Hank frustratingly shouting from the other side.

Connor walked into the middle of the warehouse, staring at a few other machines. I now decided to take a look at the exit, which Hank had spotted a little while earlier. As I stared outside, I once more overheard Hank talking to himself.

"People are fucking insane... They don't want relationships anymore, everybody just gets an android... They cook what you want, they screw when you want, you don't have to worry about how they feel... Next thing you know, we're gonna be extinct, because everybody would rather buy a piece of plastic than love another human being... Beats me..."

He wasn't exactly wrong with such a statement. Yet the part about androids not having their own feelings was something I would never agree on.

"Come on! We're leaving."

I perked my head up, glancing at the lieutenant, who had already retired to the hallway we originally proceeded through. Firmly, I pressed my lips onto each other. There had to be something here! I kept staring outside, until a few noises reached my ears. Confused, I turned around to see Connor pressed against a wall by a brown-haired female android and Hank screaming, "DON'T MOVE!"

I jerked, inhaling some air. As fast as possible, I ran towards Connor, while he threw the Traci over a large blue box. Vaulting it, the ground was swept underneath his feet by the woman. As she hit him, I raised my gun but hesitated to shoot, afraid of accidentally hitting my partner.

Deciding to use simple combat skills, I sprinted towards the unkown android and tackled her to the ground, making her roll off Connor. She raised one hand and quickly brought it down but I blocked it, while moving my left arm up to shove her off me. Unfortunately, she predicted my move and tightly gripped my wrist, trying to squeeze it. To her misfortune, that was exactly the wrong arm for such an idea.
