~Vixen's P.O.V~

Amber, let me back! Amber took control of me while Madd- I mean, Fang hugged me.

No! You don't understand how long I've waited for this! She made my body disobey my wishes and made me kiss Fang.

When I did, though, I felt something I hadn't felt before. It was as if my body was on fire.

I wanted more. I instinctively hugged him closer to me, enjoying every second of the kiss.

Then I noticed it... I was back in control, and I didn't push him away.

I didn't want to push him away.

When the kiss ended, I looked into his eyes.

They were back to blue. "M-Maddox..."

He smiled at me. "I told you," he said with a dazed look on his face.

I just looked up at him and tried not to kiss him again.

"Umm... Should I come back later?"

We both scrambled when we heard a female voice talking to us.

"N-no, you're fine. I was just leaving," Maddox said, stuttering like a child presenting something in front of the class for the first time.

I couldn't help but smile and giggle. "No, Maddox, it's okay. You can stay," I said, still smiling.

He turned to me, eyebrows raised. I winked at him, then turned to the lady.

She was shaken up and looked malnourished. Her small frame showed through her skin.

Her eyes bulged and looked like they were about to pop out of her head while her stringy hair was cast down her face and shoulders. She looked fragile.

"My son.. Have you seen him?" Her voice was shaky and weak, almost a whisper.

Maddox and I looked at each other, then at the place the boy used to be standing.

He was gone.

"Maddox, where's the kid?"

He shrugged, and I groaned, having lost a rogue pup.

"Why don't you come inside? Maddox, here, will explain where he found your son while I go get him," I said somewhat calmly and smiled at Maddox. He looked at me like he just ate a lemon.

Really? I didn't even get to tell you how I found him, and you're making me explain this to his mother?

I forgot about mind link, so hearing his voice in my mind scared me a bit.

Well, what else was I supposed to do? You know more about the kid than I do, and I'm a better tracker than you are, I said with finality in my voice.

Now, do your job, and don't let her leave.

Yes, Luna.

I couldn't help but think of the kiss while I searched.

He was really warm...

And he smelled so good.

Eventually, I got a scent.

I shifted into my wolf form and sprinted across the forest.

The scent got stronger towards the South.

"Help!"

My ears perked up when I heard a boy's voice calling for help. I sniffed the air. He was close.

Kill him! Find him and KILL HIM!

I didn't know why Amber was being so aggressive until I smelled something familiar.

Ugh... He's here...

I had half a mind to just leave, but I remembered what I felt with Maddox and how much I wanted more.

I had to kill Jax and end what we had once and for all.

Memories flowed through my mind the closer I got. Beautiful, happy memories.

I remembered how happy Jax and I used to be...

One memory stuck out in particular.

We were running through the forest, playing tag in our wolf forms.

I was so close to catching him, but he suddenly turned around and tackled me, making me break my front left paw.

As soon as he realized what he did, he licked my broken limb and comforted me while I was in the Pack Hospital.

I still remember what he said that day...

While lost in my thoughts, I didn't take into account of the wolves surrounding me.

Snapping out of my dream-like state, I bared my teeth at them, my hackles raised and my fur puffed out to make myself look more intimidating.

One was bigger than the rest. His black fur shimmered in the bright moonlight. His growl was deep and loud.

Staring at him, I noticed he had scars on his shoulders.

His teeth were already bloodstained, and he looked like he was still starving.

Ears back and teeth exposed, we circled each other with his disciples gathering around as if they were waiting for a show to start.

The challenger took a leap at me and grabbed a hold of my right shoulder, making me whimper in pain.

I snapped at his jaws and chomped a piece of his ear off.

He let go of me, and blood trickled down the side of his face. His brown eyes flashed at me.

The taste of his blood made me spit. I hated the huge amount of iron in his blood.

He launched himself at me again, knocking me off my feet.

I hopped up but was quickly thrown down again.

One huge paw clamped down my muzzle, and he clawed my stomach with the other. I squirmed underneath his weight.

His growl was so loud that it made me whimper.

Eventually, I was able to use my paw to claw at his underbelly, tearing flesh from his body.

The sudden attack made him jump back and yelp in excruciating pain.

Blood dripped from his abdomen like a small river.

My breathing was weak, but I wasn't going to let him get away this time...

With a running start, I charged him, snapping down on his throat and held on until his body laid limp.

When I made sure he was dead, I let out a loud howl and the other wolves followed.

I looked around me, and they all trembled as they laid on their stomachs in submission.

"I am your Luna now! Any who dare challenge me will face death, nothing short of it," I said, my voice clear and strong.

No one moved a muscle.

"Alright, then. Shift!" My bark was definitely powerful, but my bite was worse. Everyone knew that now.

I killed one of the strongest wolves out there, the one I used to think was my mate.

Now, I know who I want, and I wasn't going to lose him.
