《Chapter 2 : Celebrations and Tragedies》

Not long after the villain attempted to attack us , Endeavor arrived and apprehended him. Shoto had to leave early, since his father was going to throw the villain in jail and go home afterwards. The guests of the party didn't seem to care that the birthday girl had been held hostage and was about to get killed though. Their attention was all on Endeavor , even my father praised him. Not me , he didn't even know that his own daughter had finally developed her quirk

On the other hand , when I told my mother about this the next day - she couldn't help but leap in joy.

"My daughter , my only daughter has something that I will never have... And as a mother , I am so happy for you" she gave me a bone crushing hug. "The dream you have been hoping will soon come true , (Y/n)" she said softly. "Seize it (Y/n)".

"Mom..." I muttered. "But , what will happen if dad finds out ?" I asked , slightly worried.

"I'll tell him... Leave it to me , you don't have to worry" She said giving me a reassuring smile. "Why don't you practice using your quirk , while I talk to your father about this" she suggested , I only nodded. "Good , I'll be right back sweet heart" she then left and headed to my father's office.

I couldn't help but be excited as well ! All my life , I thought I was quirkless , until last night. I can finally  become what I've been dreaming of , to be a hero ! Whatever my father would say to me , I won't give up. I'll seize my dream with this gift I have.

Because of my emotions , I didn't realize that I was making some of my earings float around. I tried to control my earings , making them drop- and it did !

I wonder what was my quirk ?

I decided to search in my parents mini library on what kind of quirk is this that I posses. As I passed by my father's office , I overheard my parents once again arguing.

"... Your daughter finally has a quirk , shouldn't you be happy for her ?" I heard my mom say.

"Why would I be happy for an upgrade I didn't want ? Now my life plan for her is all ruined" my father replied.

"You need to stop controling our daughter's life. Why couldn't you just stop for a moment in visioning her future and speak to her like a normal father ?".

"What I am doing - this is for her own good !".

"What you're doing is for your own good !".

"I am doing what's best for this family. So what if she has a quirk , now ? So what if it is similar to mine ? Don't tell me it's your turn to manipulate her in doing something you like".

"I am supporting her dream that you never bothered knowing what it was".

"This discussion is over !" My father exclaimed.

"Fine !" I heard my mom respond. Her footsteps drawing near the door.

Once again , I had no time hide as she walked outside the office. She looked at me , her expression was full of anger but she softened up instantly. She took a deep breathe and calmed down. "Dear , how about we register your developed quirk ? And after we buy some ice cream , would you like that ?" She asked.

I couldn't say no to that offer , "Sure !" I replied happily.

We took the service and register my newly developed quirk. I found out my quirk was called - Polarity. I'm allowed to command the force of magnetism. Manipulate scores of metallic objects.
