Starlight

I'm persistent to give you my love,

But to love you has become so hard,

I keep praying for your growth,

But do my prayers reach you from so far.

When I saw you I felt a trigger,

And when we spoke, it only got bigger,

Your existence was magnetic to me,

Your presence sweetened all my bitter.

I felt high and free to hold you,

To be able to love you was a gift,

You let me in and loved back,

Falling for each other, so swift.

Your skin was softened with love,

The touch of our lips, so light and so fulfilling,

Hands on each other, a rollercoaster,

Nothing was ever so thrilling.

You scared me because I had something so amazing,

How could this be real,

You made me so raw,

You took care of my tears.

We were,

We are, meant to be,

But the world is against us,

We are perfect, we can see so clearly,

But life keeps pushing us into dust.

We are stuck in between,

We lay in confusion and sorrow,

So much to risk and so much at stake,

We were given a glimpse of bliss then life pulled us apart,

Guess they call it fate.

I might find love but none like you,

Everything else is empty,

Except the one that is true.

I feel like I've given up,

But you stay in my soul, you stay in my heart,

There's still a little hope,

Even when we're far apart.

Just like the stars,

That are far away and shine throughout our lives,

Noticed by us only on a clear night,

My love for you will keep growing,

You'll feel it again when the time is right,

And even if not,

My love will always be there,

It's soul bound starlight.
