*August 11th 1999*

*CRASH*

The sound of thunder erupted over England, as the rain hit the ground harshly. Most of the yards in the neighborhood were practically flooded. The grass and dirt was now mud, and it was dark.

There was only a single light on the porch.

*DING*

The doorbell rang, and after a few moments, most of the lights in the house started to turn on. As the front door opened, everything went quiet for a couple of seconds. "Who is it Nicole?"

Nicole was snapped out of her confusing thoughts, being half asleep and confused due to nobody being at the door.

"Nicole?"

The blonde turned around to see Halle standing on the first step of the stairs, in nothing but her underwear and a tank top. Nicole shook her head, rubbing her tired eyes in an attempt to wake up. "Nobody, I think it might've been those stupid boys from down the street—"

*CRASH*

*WAHHH*

Nicole was suddenly cut off by a loud crash of thunder, followed by a loud baby's cry. The blonde looked down slowly, to see a baby inside of a picnic basket, wrapped up in a bundle of blankets. The older woman's eyes went wide, as she gasped and without a second thought, she picked the mysterious baby up. "Halle look!" Nicole called the other woman over, as the short haired brunette walked over towards her partner. "Oh my god, how long was he out there?!" Halle asked, her eyes wide, as she walked over towards Nicole.

The blonde cradled the baby in her arms, staring down it, examining the baby's features. "She. She's a girl." Nicole said, and Halle only stared at them, she noticed the way Nicole had gotten the baby to stop crying right away, and she couldn't help but flash her a sad little smile. "Well, she seems to like you." Halle said, as she walked over towards the door, and grabbed the picnic basket. She shut the door, and placed the basket on the stand that the lamp was on, right before flickering it on.

"Hey, didn't your aunt Lucile leave her kids formula here last month?" Nicole asked, and Halle flashed her a look, "Are you sure we should be giving a random child formula? What if she's allergic or something?" She asked, and Nicole rolled her eyes. "She's a baby, Halle, she needs to eat something. Here, hold her I'll go find it." The slightly younger woman said as she carefully handed the baby to Halle. The brunette tensed up slightly as she reluctantly took the child into her arms, while Nicole began to search for the formula.

Halle stared at the mysterious baby, and their eyes locked. As she stared into those big, chocolatey eyes, the infant giggled, flashing Halle a look that made her heart swell. She couldn't help but place her finger gently on her tiny little nose, "Boop." Halle joked gently, tapping the baby's nose, and making her laugh loudly. The brunette let out a chuckle, as the baby stared at the older woman in adoration.

"So, should we call the cops or something?" Nicole asked, as she walked into the room with a baby bottle in her hand. She shook it gently, as she walked over to Halle, and handed it to her. Halle placed the bottle in the baby's mouth, and she started drinking the formula slowly, her eyes starting to get heavy. Halle couldn't help but smile at the small baby in her arms.

"Halle?" Nicole asked, snapping the slightly older woman out of her thoughts, and causing her to look away from the baby, and towards the blonde. "Huh?" She asked, making it clear that she hadn't heard Nicole's previous comment.
