Lucas's POV

It's almost 8 when I get home from work. I stayed as late as I could so things wouldn't be as awkward between Maya and I. When I get upstairs there's a plate of spaghetti wrapped up sitting on the table. There's also a thing of flowers sitting on the counter.

I walked into Maya's room, "Hey."

"Hey did you eat yet?" Maya asked.

"No not yet I just got home," I leaned against her door.

"Oh it shouldn't be to cold," Maya looked down at her notebook.

"So who are those flowers from?"

"Zayn."

"He was over here today?"

"Yeah this morning."

"Why to beg you to forgive him and take him back."

"Yup."

"Sounds just like him."

"I know what you think of him already," Maya looked up from her notebook and looked at me.

"Maya he's bad news you need to stay away from him," I sat down on her bed.

"Lucas you don't need to protect me," Maya said.

"If you keep going back to him it looks like I do."

"You really don't."

"Maya-"

Maya's POV

"Lucas I don't need you messing everything up right now," I said.

That came out so much meaner than I planned.

"Oh so whatever happened between us the other day meant nothing to you," Lucas looked hurt.

"I can't just start a relationship with you after one drunken mistake," I yelled.

"Can't or won't," Lucas said before getting up and shutting my door.

Great I've lost my best friend now. I really wish we wouldn't have slept together.
