A few weeks later...
Mishel's POV
There's one thing for sure about me, something I completely indulge myself in and love the thrill of. It's called adventure. I don't care what kind of adventure it is, whether it's reading a romantic book, watching thriller shows or movies or whether it's sneaking out of the house to party or hangout with people I love. I just love the feeling of it. I like family parties, no doubt, it gets me an opportunity to socialize and get to know more people since I could only afford one best friend, might as well get to know a few more and make acquaintances. However, the thought of socializing with someone I don't wish to get along with is a whole new level to annoyance. Unfortunately, I had to experience this during the weekend.
Laughter had echoed through the halls, originating from the family room located in my house, all the way to my room. I had snuggled further into my covers as I tried to get some sleep for the third time that evening. My mom had invited the Delrasso's for dinner since the wedding was two weeks away.
I think I was going to have a panic attack when I was reminded of the time span by none other than Morella during dessert, while I was eating a slice of chocolate cake. There was immediate panic that ran throughout my body. My mom thought maybe indulging and conversing with the Devil could give us an opportunity to at least know each other on a friends basis. Which didn't seem to work out quite well.
I had dinner and desert with the guests downstairs, avoiding eye contact with the devil as he tried making small talk with me. The nerve of that man. He didn't even get the idea that a lady DOES NOT want to speak with him. But it was cute though, I must admit. The reason for my trashy mood was the stupid red wedding. It was that time of the month. I wanted to snap at every person who made a clinking sound with their cutlery. My hormones can be traitors at times, so I had decided to spend the rest of the time trying to sleep in the comfortable confines of my room and in my own pain.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Monday mornings can be a hassle. And that's a tradition in my house I tell you. Snoozing alarms, waking up late, crappy mood, shower disasters, no breakfast and messy hair and what not. Well it's tradition for me, that I'm hoping my future children never get accustomed to.
I quickly grabbed my purse and ran downstairs with my black wedges in my other hand. Today, I'd decided to wear something more casual; a navy blue full sleeves, mid thigh length dress with a mustard colour trench coat. I put my hair up in a messy up do and swipe on some mascara and nude lipstick. Living alone sucks. And what sucks more is working in the Delrasso Empire with Delrasso. He and I decided that I can do my internship in his company, especially in the Human Resource Department, but also work out things in Mateo's company with him once in a while. Morella also got an internship opportunity as well, which I'm very thankful for.
I scurried into the building after parking my car, this time the right "employee parking", just to avoid another episode of the first day, and made my way to Morella's office. It's a ritual I've come to everyday, greeting my best friend can get me energized for the morning. The elevator ride to her floor was quite long from the entrance, however it's a two floor ride down from my department floor. Now that doesn't mean I take the stairs, I'm in no hurry to get to her office anyway.
