Update. I'm really sorry for taking too much time. I was busy, but I hope you all understand. This is a long chapter just for you all. Thank you everyone for your patience!
Enjoy!😊
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
"Marry me."
I heard a few gasps from the other ladies in the room, though I didn't even bother looking at them.
I was going to collapse.
My heart was beating at an in humane speed.
Is he in his right mind?
What did he just say? Marry him?
I think I am going to have a heart attack anytime soon.
I'm pretty sure everyone had the same expression as me. Shocked.
"Marry me, Mishel Evangeline D'Alesio." He proposed again.
Is it just me or does that sound like a command or a statement rather than a romanticized question?
What else do you expect from an egotistical man. He will demand, not ask. He's not even kneeling. Just sitting there like a boss.
"Oh my god. This is so freaking cool. Mishel, I say you should accept, before I do." Sophia gushed in excitement with a wink my way. I gave her the 'are you serious look'. Mr. Delrasso still had that expecting look on his face, which gave the devil an expression of sincerity, just for a few seconds.
What is he playing at? I don't trust him.
Lucinda had tears in her eyes, that were seeming to fall any moment due to happiness. Ronaldo looked pleased for some reason. Maybe they wanted their son to decide to settle down. Mom and dad looked extremely shocked but recovered quickly with the look of happiness. Lucian looked pleased. And I, I was pissed. I wanted to take a pan and bang the guy's head.
"Mishel dear, aren't you going to reply?" Mom asked breaking the moment of silence I created. I blinked, pretending to get out of my reverie. I moved my gaze around to assess everyone's face. Expectancy, that's what I saw. They expect me to give an answer on the spot? This involves my life, my decision, the man himself and my safety. I don't trust the devil even a bit.
"¿Estás fuera de tu mund?" I whispered yelled, more like to myself. I didn't want to yell at him in his parents presence. He didn't seem to budge with that sincere look.
(Are you out of your mind?)
"cariño, esta familia no sabe español." Dad whispered.
(dear, this family doesnt know spanish)
I just found out his weakness, he doesn't know Spanish.
"oh, ¿entonces no entenderá lo que digo?"
(oh, so he wont understand what i say?)
Dad nodded.
"¿Debo declinar? papá, sabes que el chico está a mi alrededor mejor. Y estoy diciendo que él no es el correcto." I muttered.
(should i decline? dad, you know the guy's around me better than I do. And im telling you he's not the right one.)
I stared at the devil for any kind of sign that acknowledges that he understands what I am saying, but to no avail. I smirked inwardly.
Mom gave me the glare and coughed out loud as a warning. Sophia nudged me really hard while Lucian and dad looked amused. I did learn from him to use the opponents weakness as your strength. Dad smirked.
